- What's up guys?
Pat here.
Thank you much for joining me today.
I haven't gone live on Youtube in quite awhile.
So, I'm just praying that this is gonna work.
But it's technology so it might not.
You might not even be able to hear me right now,
in which case this would be kind of pointless.
So, if you can hear me right now
and you're in the chat here on Youtube, let me know.
I just want to make sure that this is working.
And so I'm gonna do, oh yes!
The Hustle Husbands Learn How,
thank you guys for being the first commenter's
on what will hopefully be the first
of many Youtube Live streams that are coming.
Thank you, so much again for being here.
Wow, we've got a big crowd.
Laura, Patricia, 831 Media, John.
Let's see.
Tim, Laura,
Shikar,
Jerry,
Jay,
I could just go all day with the names.
Hey guys thank you so much for being here.
First of all,
Youtube is been, this my obsession for me lately.
As you can tell, I'm very very closely
keeping track of the numbers.
We are so, so near that magical 100K subscriber mark
and a lot of cool things happen at a 100K.
Not only does Youtube send you
this amazing plaque that has a silver Play button
when you get to 100 thousand,
and actually you get a gold one at a million,
and then like a diamond plated.
I've done the research guys, I'm like,
I'm shooting for the stars right?
But at 10 million subscribers
But we're not even close to that yet.
Let's focus on one goal at a time
and we're very close to a hundred K subscribers.
So, and again welcome to all of the new people in here.
We'll get into the sort of agenda in just a minute.
But I'm just talkin' little bit about
how close we are two a hundred thousand
and how big of a deal this is for me.
Because, for the longest time,
I mean I've been doin' business since 2008.
I've had a Youtube channel since 2009.
So this isn't like an overnight thing,
but in the last month I've been going
Live on Youtube or excuse me publishing recorded videos
on Youtube five days a week of all February,
and so far doing the same thing in March.
And the numbers are just going crazy.
We're jumping like mad.
Not only that, I think, many of you would agree
that the content is helpful.
And I'm seeing it in the comment section of all the videos.
It's also allowing me to reach out
and talk to and collaborate with a lot
of other really really cool people which is really exciting.
People who I wouldn't normally have access to.
It's very similar to the Podcast in that way.
Except, I feel like less people are able
to create great content on Youtube,
which maybe gives me a leg up
because I have this great studio.
(clapping)
Let's see, Axel in the House, Inventor Group,
Christoph, Patricia.
So actually, for you guys in the chat right now,
I'm curious, how did you know
that this Live Stream was happening?
Was it because you got a notification?
Let me know.
Was it because you just randomly came on
to my Youtube channel and you saw me going Live there?
Or, did you wait around because I had posted it,
via email the other day?
So, or not via email.
On social media.
I'm curious to know.
So Dale says, "I got an email."
An email alert?
That's awesome.
I didn't know that happened with Youtube Live.
Maybe I should have.
Maybe I learned about that a long time ago
but it's been a long time since I've gone Live.
And make sure you stick around to the end of this.
We're gonna go for a half hour here.
If you need to leave for whatever reason
and come back you can.
I have a very very special announcement that involves you,
that comes at the very end of this.
Plus we're gonna talk about the giveaway.
I'm giving away a virtual coffee,
which means a one hour one on one conversation
where you can just literally ask me anything
to help you with any part of your life,
or business or if you just want to chat about video games
or Magic the Gathering, or parenting, whatever.
I just want to chat with you for an hour.
So we're gonna give away that in just a minute.
As well as, and this comes with that giveaway,
a feature in an upcoming Youtube video of mine.
Like is said I'm going up on Youtube five days a week now,
which is really really fun.
And that's been the coolest part with Youtube.
I've just been having a lot of fun.
I don't know if you saw the video
that I did with my buddy Chris Ducker?
Author of the new book Rise of the Entrepreneur,
and one of my best friends.
We just posted it yesterday and everybody
is just having a hoot.
They're laughing their butts off
because Chris and I, we were here in the studio.
We were just having fun.
We were playing with the Nerf guns.
Like this bad boy right here.
(gun loading)
And there's no bullets in here.
(gun shooting)
Okay good.
Yeah, there are no bullets in there right now.
Or excuse me, darts.
And we were just poking fun at each other.
We always have a good time.
And you know what this is?
This is sort of like,
edutainment, right?
That's what I think is standing out
on Youtube right now is those who can educate
but also entertain at the same time.
And, when Chris Ducker's in the house,
he and I always have a blast and,
people seem to like it which is pretty cool.
"I love that Nerf gun," says Anthony.
"For sure my guess is April 15th.
"We love you Pat."
I love you too Patricia.
Fly Ride says, "so dope."
Yes, speaking of so dope, check this out guys.
Yeah, I don't know if you could hear me
or not when I did that but,
I have the second camera there.
I could actually change the camera angle.
Check this out, watch.
Kind of a gimmicky trick.
But no, this camera up there is called a PTZ camera.
Point, tilt and zoom.
And I hadn't had the ability to use it in awhile
because I haven't gone Live.
I've always done recorded videos on this angle right here.
So.
(clapping)
I don't know if you could hear me,
but yeah you could not hear me, okay.
I didn't set it up correctly but I just wanted to show you.
I'm not really gonna use that.
Mainly I would use it if I was addressing a lot of comments.
You would look over my shoulder,
and then things would be cool.
So, anyway.
Let's get into some of our program today
because time is a-running.
So let me hit up, let's see.
I got a question to ask you guys.
When do you think SPI is gonna hit a hundred thousand subs?
That's how you actually enter this contest
to win this one hour coffee and a feature in
an upcoming Youtube video.
I've given away three of these already on,
in a contest that was run in February,
and thank you all for those of you who entered that.
We had three winners and when, you know what?
I felt bad because 50,000 entries came in.
And I just want to give away one more,
just to you guys who are there on Youtube right now.
So,
guess when and what time.
So what date and what time.
That will qualify you, to enter.
And it's just gonna be random.
Like here's the thing.
I could probably go back and print out
a sheet of all the comments and just kind of,
try to figure out who was the closest.
But it's gonna take forever to do that,
plus, look at all the guesses
that are coming in which is really cool, so.
To enter, all of you have to do is guess.
Even if the guess is 2045.
It doesn't matter.
It's gonna be selection at random,
just to be fair to everybody.
And then I'll reach out to you and we'll make it happen.
So we'll schedule a call,
and during that call we'll talk about
how we can feature you in an upcoming Youtube video.
And we'll figure it out.
So guys, leave your guess.
When do you think this channel
is gonna hit a hundred thousand subs?
Which is, I don't know why but this, this hundred...
You know it's funny because a lot
of people worry about their numbers, right?
And I always say, don't worry about the numbers.
It's about the people on the other end, right?
Which is true.
And I whole heartedly agree with that
and I teach that and I preach that.
But,
it is important to also have milestones
that you're excited to reach.
I tell you if there wasn't this magical number
of a hundred thousand where I'm gonna get a silver plaque.
And I'll do a video of unboxing that
and like showing you what that's like.
I wouldn't be as motivated to get up everyday and publish,
and interact with you in the comment section,
and all those things.
So as, much as I advise you to not worry about the numbers,
it's important to have numbers,
or maybe more specifically goals to reach toward,
because that's what motives you.
That's what gets you excited and gets you
to do a lot of the work.
Actually for me, that's what motivates me.
For you it might be different.
Right?
For me I'm a very numbers driven and reward driven person.
I've just learned that over time.
So I use that to my advantage,
but obviously there are bigger numbers
that I could try to reach that would make me,
probably feel a little bad right now
because I'm no where near those numbers.
So let's take these big goals,
chunk 'em up in to mini milestones,
and the next milestone that we have is a hundred thousand.
Okay, so we got some guesses.
All in March which is great.
So far we've got a couple Aprils which is see.
March 16th, 9 p.m.
Get as precise as you want.
I will go back and check to see who was a little bit close.
But that's not gonna be your entry.
Your entry is just your guess.
Where are we at right now actually?
We're at 97,103,
and it's climbing like mad.
Especially now that I'm posting five videos
a week which is really cool.
So, comment with your guess.
When is this channel gonna hit a hundred thousand subs?
I'm gonna try to be live just like this
when we cross that mark.
That would be a fun celebration.
I'd love to celebrate that moment
and milestone with you guys.
Because you guys are really what is making all this happen.
I have to thank you because,
I was a little bit scared to get back into Youtube.
And I was never really serious about Youtube.
For awhile I did a video a week,
for SPI TV which you might remember.
But it was never really something
that I wanted to figure out, and master and understand
the inner workings of algorithms on Youtube,
and how to get into suggested videos
of peoples,
on other peoples videos.
And just get massive traffic that way.
But, it seems to be working.
But we're still learning and we got a long way to go.
But thank you so much for all the support here on Youtube.
If you aren't subscribed to the channel yet,
very simply, all you have to do is go
to smartpassiveincome.com/youtube.
Or, if you're watching on Youtube right now,
just click that subscribe button and also,
make sure you hit that bell notification icon
because when new videos come out,
I'll be goin' in there and selecting somebody at random
who comments within an hour after new videos go live.
And again, remember you have this chance every single day.
If you comment within an hour after new videos go live,
then you are eligible to win an SPI pin,
which is really cool.
Just a way for me to thank you and the community
to have you be, and feel like a part of the family,
'cause really, this is team Flynn.
So, okay Youtube in the House, "leveling up baby."
That's right Anthony.
Let's see, "hey Pat March 31st."
Ooo, we got like the end of March.
I'm hoping it happens before then but, you never know.
You never know.
What's really cool is any of these videos that I put out,
at any moment in time Youtube I feel like
could be like man let's show this video to everybody.
And not like home page of Youtube type situation,
but maybe putting that video in the suggested area
of really popular videos.
That's happened with one of my videos in the past,
related to creating awesome slides.
That's my most popular video is about creating
awesome PowerPoint and key note slides.
It has like 700,000 views.
That wasn't on purpose and that
just kind of happened randomly,
but I'm getting a lot of traffic coming that way.
I'm not a person who's trying to teach
other people how to do presentations,
but that's kind of what Youtube is saying,
hey this is really good stuff that seems
to keep people on to Youtube, on Youtube for awhile
so we'll suggest it in other videos.
And that's how I'm getting all that traffic.
So that could happen anytime.
That could happen tomorrow.
I could get a hundred thousand subs tomorrow.
Who knows?
We'll see.
That's why this is fun.
So again, I'm gonna go back in time
and see who here in the chat is closest.
But again, if you want to comment with your guess
that enters you into the virtual coffee giveaway
and feature in an upcoming Youtube video.
I'll reach out to the winner at random.
And I'll mention it on social media who won
and hopefully I can get in contact with you.
So,
dud wwe got a lot of dates comin' up fairly soon.
March 18th, March 23rd.
That's awesome.
What's up Daniel Minnez?
Good to see you here.
Thaygo, Milan, Spanish and Go,
Get Measured Get's Managed, I love that.
So Kiante, Kiante says, "what gets measured get's managed.
"Keep up with the killer goals.
"Knock 'em down my guess is April 17th, my birthday."
Natasha says, "Pat should we share
"your vids on other social media?"
That would be awesome.
Like if you come across a video and you like it
and you know that your audience or fans or followers
can enjoy that as well, I would obviously love that.
I appreciate that so much.
Whether it's just a simple Tweet or you want to go
into a little bit more detail and expand on it,
doesn't matter.
Plus I know a lot of you who are on this platform right now
know a lot more than I do.
If you ever have any suggestions for me,
hey Pat I think your thumbnails would be better
if you did this or I think in your description
you could probably add a little more value by doing this.
I always want it to be value driven.
If you can find ways for me to provide more value to you,
let me know.
I am not the master here,
I'm just some guy trying to figure
this out as always is the case.
But I'm just kind of taking you along the ride with me.
So,
make sure you get your comment in
with when you think we're gonna his 100,000 subscribers
and now that we are about 12 minutes
into the conversation here,
I wanted to switch up the vibe a little bit.
Make sure you stick around to the end
'cause I have a really special announcement
that again involves you.
And again thank you for watching this.
But for right now let's do some Q and A guys.
Like I'm here to serve as you know.
And I do it through my Youtube videos,
on my Podcast, on the blog, on social media.
In my courses for free on my Podcast.
But let's take some time now,
I want to answer your questions.
Whatever questions you might have.
We'll jam for a little bit and maybe
with five or six minutes left I'll go
into the special announcement which again, involves you.
You can make sure you subscribe to
the Youtube channel if you haven't already.
So Tim is asking, "hey Pat how did Keoni's presentation go?"
So Keoni's my son.
He's eight years old.
He goes to a school here where they teach entrepreneurship.
Super cool.
And actually all year they've been working on a project
where they have to come up with an idea,
like a start up idea.
Mind you most of them are in
the realm of like Etsy type ideas right?
Like crafts and goods.
A lot of slime companies (laughs) in this school.
Apparently that's like the hot thing for kids right now,
slime things.
But anyway.
He didn't do slime.
He's doing a company related to pins,
creating pins that have expressions on them,
so people can express themselves.
Pretty cool.
So he, yesterday, went in for, no was it yesterday?
Or two days ago?
A couple days ago he went in to
a shark tank like experience at his school.
People from around the city and facilities,
or facilitators at the school created a shark,
like they literally had the music like in Shark Tank,
and the little groups of companies went in and presented.
They pitched and they're only gonna
select a few of them to move on.
And they haven't announced who moved on yet.
They're gonna announce that on Monday.
And I remember watching the video from last year.
My son wasn't involved but the kids were going crazy.
They showed the winners up on the slides,
and the kids were just going ballistic over companies.
And then what happens is the people who don't get selected,
they become the employees of those companies.
And this all leads to something that happens
at the end of the year which is called the Maker Fair
where they actually sell their goods.
So they have to learn manufacturing,
they have to learn selling, branding, marketing.
I went in to speak to marketing,
about marketing to second and third graders guys,
like this is crazy.
This is what I feel should be in all schools
'cause he's learning so much.
He was asking, he was telling me like hey dad,
it's gonna cost us, if we're gonna get 50 pins
it's gonna cost us $4 to get every pin,
which is really cool because we're gonna sell them for $8,
and if we sell all of them we're gonna make $200 profit
because we make $4 profit for every pin we sell
if we sell it at $8.
And I was like, I can't believe
a second grader is talking like that.
That's like blowing my mind.
And so it's really exciting.
But yeah, we're gonna find out on Monday
so check back in with me on Monday
on @patflynn on Instagram or Twitter.
Hopefully he'll pass.
But we'll see what happens.
Matt says, March 20th I will hit.
We'll see.
We'll see guys.
Let's see, next question.
"Hi Pat from the UK," this is Nick,
he goes hi "Pat from the UK what's
"the first question to ask
"when setting up a online business?"
Alright.
A great question to ask is one
to ask yourself and that is can I imagine myself
moving forward with this business,
in or helping these people, or serving this crowd in a year?
In three years, in five years.
A lot of you know who have read my book Will it Fly,
I love thought experiments where,
when you're considering something,
actually make a decision in your head right now
and imagine what life would be like five years from now.
It's really easy, super simple.
I mean on the surface you might just be like,
that's like a weird tactic, like really that's all?
Yes.
By putting yourself in a situation
where you are making a decision,
it's not a permanent decision it's
just like a hypothetical decision that you make now.
If you find an audience and you serve them
and you imagine yourself as a consultant helping
those people in that crowd can you imagine yourself
a year from now, three years from now, five years from now,
continually doing the same thing?
Now, there's some research that you need to do with it.
So, one other question I would make sure to answer is,
how might you stand out from that crowd?
So once you have that target market,
how might you understand how you can position yourself
in a way that's gonna be different?
Because that's what gets you noticed.
That's what keeps you going long-term.
So, I offer this thing called the Market Map,
and that's where you find your three P's.
Your places.
So where do that target audience exist?
Online, offline, blogs, forums, groups, et cetera.
Where do those people hang out?
List all those in a spread sheet.
Number two, the people in that space who have already,
sorry that's (laughs) my middle finger
was going out when I did that.
(laughing)
Number two, the people in that space
who have already earned the trust of that audience.
And number three, the products
that are already being served.
That way you get kind of a birds eye perspective,
lay of the land of what's happening in that space
and you can understand okay, well these people seem
to be the big players, why are people liking them?
What are they doing right?
How can I do something even better than them?
Or what can I adopt that they're doing
in the business that I'm about to create
and the solutions that I'm gonna build?
Or, here are some people in the space
who are just not, they're not serving
their audience in the best way.
They only have three star reviews primarily on Podcasts.
Kind of, what are they doing wrong
so that I make sure I don't do that?
So, that's where you go.
The Hustle Husband says go Live when people aren't at work.
That's a good one.
Although, people are at work at different days
and that's why I chose Friday to go Live
because most people who have a day off at work,
it usually happens on Friday.
But thank you for that.
And again this is just kind of a,
I didn't plan on going Live this week
until the other day when I realized that,
I was so close to 100,000.
We just gained seven new subscribers since we were talking.
Awesome. (clapping)
so Matt says, "what is a reasonable time
"that you should expect to get"...
Whoa.
Okay.
Still recording.
It kind of like, my screen flashed for a little bit.
Let's see.
"What is a reasonable time that you should expect
"to get monetary returns from your Podcast?
"When you should realize that it's
"not going to make you a living?"
So, I would give it, a year.
However, I would try to understand ahead of time,
what possibilities there might be.
A lot of people, have a Podcast now,
not a very big audience.
But they are still able to make money
because they understand the pains
and problems of that audience.
And it's not about advertising.
I would actually recommend that if you're starting a Podcast
to not focus on getting advertising and sponsorship dollars.
What I would recommend, is how might you offer solutions
to that audience no matter how big or small it might be,
up front.
And what's really cool about,
understanding how to do this early on,
is because when you have multiple episodes down the road,
people are gonna go back and binge list
starting from episode one.
So the earlier you can start thinking about monetization,
the better chances you're gonna have of actually monetizing.
Now there's a number of different ways
to monetize on a Podcast.
A couple ways require a lot of time and people,
and that is Patreon and the Advertiser Sponsorship Model
like I said.
But if you have your own products to sell,
that might be a great thing to do.
But the number one way I would recommend Podcasters
get started with Monetization because it really plants
these seeds that can grow for long-term later
is affiliate marketing.
So find the solutions that your audience is already buying.
There are items in your space that are already being sold.
And people are buying them.
How can you be the person that recommends those things?
How can you paint a picture of what life is like
after the use of that product?
How might you build a relationship with
that person and help them understand
okay well this is the product that I use,
and this is what I would recommend
to help you achieve your goals.
So that's something that could
potentially happen much sooner.
I mean I would try to make money as soon as possible,
but not in a way where you're just trying
to bombard everybody with pitches
and just commission possibilities,
but really coming from a place of serving.
That's really the key, with monetization anywhere.
When it comes to okay, how do I know
if this is something I don't want to do anymore?
Well that's a deeper question you have to ask yourself
and what I would recommend is talk
to other people about it in your space.
This is why i say relationships are so important.
If you have a cohort of colleagues,
or a mastermind group of other people who are kind of doing,
whatever it is that you're doing in a similar space,
or at the same level, talk to them.
Sometimes you get some amazing outside perspectives
because you're so deep into your own stuff
it's hard to understand well what move should I make next?
A lot of times, my decisions are made with the help
of conversations that happen between myself
and other business friends.
Alright, let's see.
The Hustle Husband says "my question.
"I need to surround myself with other successful people
"to motivate me but where do I find them?"
Well you,
are in communities already.
Like the community here on Facebook,
under Smart Passive Income.
There are likely Facebook groups
that you can be a part of and probably blogs
and forums that you are involved in as well.
The number one way that I would recommend however,
is start connecting with people
and understand okay I like this person,
I vibe with this person, maybe we can connect,
I can surround myself with them is in person.
So if you have the chance to go to a live event,
in and around or related to the topic that you talk about,
that's where I would recommend going
to find other cool people.
I got to tell you most of the friends
that I have continued a relationship
with moving forward into my business career,
have been a result of initiating those conversations first
at a live event or some kind.
So, that's really of benefit.
A lot of events happen and there's presentations
and there's speakers and there's a lot of content right?
And that can kind of sometimes blow your mind
and kind of it's like drinking from a fire hose sometimes.
But really, I love to stay in the hallways
and just chat with people and see
how I can provide value to others.
In return I get a lot of value back too,
or at least I have people that I know
who are on my radar and I'm on theirs,
and if something happens and I can help them out,
or they can help me out, or we can converse in some way,
I mean it always comes from live events it seems.
I have way more friends that I've made offline,
than online.
I think it, I can't remember who said it exactly
but somebody once said the best way
to grow your business online, is to actually get offline.
Alright Cigar says,
"from where did you learn to stream please?
"Even though I want to do it but I get stuck."
Honestly the best and easiest way
to go streaming is to use one of these guys.
Your phone.
I mean I can go Live on Facebook just on my phone.
Live on Youtube just on my phone.
Do Periscope through Twitter just on your phone.
I wouldn't try to over complicate things.
This studio has been a long time...
I mean this is expensive.
This is not low level, just starting out type of stuff.
But you can still provide great content, build an audience,
and connect with your people and build relationships
through just your phone.
And that's what I would start with.
And that way the audio's there.
It's decent enough.
The video doesn't have to be 4K
or streamed in this kind of quality
to still be something that people
can watch and benefit from.
Alright.
So The Hustle Husband says,
"thanks for answering my question.
"You've been a huge help.
"I had 300 people sign up to my course
"in its first month thanks to you."
Congratulations man. (clapping)
That's awesome.
The Endeavoring Family says,
"there's a channel called Gaming Careers
"and they have a fantastic OBS tutorial
"but you can use the Stream Live's App
"on your phone just as easily."
So OBS is a software that you can use, it's free,
that allows you to stream in situations
where there might be multiple cameras
and you want to do screen sharing and things like that.
But seriously on the phone is probably
the easiest and quickest way to do it.
We'll do two more questions and then
I got the special announcement before we finish up.
And again, thank you all for listening
and continuing to watch this.
I appreciate you and remember if you haven't subscribed
to the channel yet, make you sure you do that.
Smartpassiveicome.com/youtube.
Or if you're in Youtube watching right now,
just click that subscribe button.
Hit that notification bell as well.
That way you get notified when new videos come out and
if you leave a comment within an hour
after new videos go live which they do five days a week.
So the next one comes out on Monday
and it's actually a collab with somebody in my Tesla.
So you want to make sure you don't miss that
because it's a collab with a very very famous Youtuber
who has inspired me.
And he was in town a couple weeks ago
for Social Media Marketing World.
I invited him into the car.
We did a Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,
Car Pool Karaoke sort of situation.
And he's a great guy.
So make sure you subscribe because he's droppin'
a lot of value bombs for me and anybody else
who wants to go big on Youtube.
So, make sure you check that out.
Let's see.
Tyler says, "best advice for content creation
"when starting a new website."
So Tyler, what I would recommend doing
is understand what are the questions
that people are asking in that space?
Create content that answers those questions.
Keep is simple right?
Where do you get these questions?
Well you can have conversations with people.
That's the number one way to do it
because then you can understand and empathize with them.
You can hear in their own language
how they're dealing with these problems
and what you might be able to do to solve them.
Or how they are solving them.
You can relay that information to everybody else
who's gonna be reading that blog post
or watching your videos, or listening to your Podcast right?
But there's actually a tool out there
that many of you have seen me talk about before.
I've talked about in Youtube videos.
It's called answerthepublic.com.
If you go to answerthepublic.com,
you type in a key word and it literally show you questions,
that people are asking.
The most popular questions.
The who, what, where, why, how, can.
Those types of questions.
Find the ones that are most interesting to you
and then just answer those questions.
That's how you can do it.
That way you're not just guessing what people would want.
You are actually answering questions that people have.
So, answerthepublic.com.
Whoa, hey.
Vision Whale.
Vision Whale.
Make sure you subscribe to Vision Whale
because he just left a, this is my very first...
Man this is...
This is a huge deal.
So, Vision Whale thank you so much for that donation.
I'm going to forward that over to Pencils of Promise
because that's what I do and I love
to support that organization.
They help build schools around the world
and I'm an advisor for the company so,
your $20, I'm gonna send it over their way.
Thank you so much for that.
He says "hey Pat I'm creating an animated video
"for one of your Podcasts."
What?
"How do I make sure the video reaches you?
"I'm also doing a giveaway of one year of animated videos
"but I don't have many entries.
"How can I get more people in?"
Well, by providing value like you've just done.
And it says that you're also going
to be offering some sort of animated video.
I'd love to see it.
First of all, shoot me an email.
I'd love to talk to you there,
Vision White thank you for that.
And then in terms of getting more people involved,
definitely social media's a great place.
I think with something visual like animations,
you can show a little snippet of what
it is that you might be giving away.
And saying hey if you want something like this
for yourself make sure to subscribe.
There's also other tools out there.
I don't know if you've already started this giveaway
but I used a tool in a giveaway
very recently called KingSumo,
and that allowed me to (laughs),
"Vision Whale for President," says Dale.
Yeah absolutely.
Again thank you for that generous donation.
That's cool.
Andrea says, "hey, I'd love to enter the giveaway."
So, hey look at that.
You're already getting new entries.
So, feel free to put a link.
I don't know if the Super Chat will let you,
but put a link in there and that way people
can see what it is that you're talking about.
But again, send me an email.
I used a tool called KingSumo recently
that when people entered this contest,
they actually got more entries by sharing it,
which was really cool.
So, they shared it, they get more entries.
By subscribing to my Youtube channel they got 10
more entries 'cause that was the main purpose of it.
But again, that's KingSumo, which is a WordPress plug in.
There are other ones out there that can help you like Gleam.
G-L-E-A-M.io.
But yeah.
So hey, Vision Whale thank you so much for that.
We're gonna finish up this chat in just a minute.
Actually three minutes.
But I did have a very very important
and special announcement to share with you guys.
So I'm gonna push this up right now.
So first of all, obviously thank you so much
for all of your support here on Youtube.
Vision Whale, shout out to you.
Thank you again for that wonderful donation,
and also make sure you leave a link or shoot me an email.
I'll send that link out on Twitter as well.
Make sure you leave your comments as well
for when you think SPI is gonna hit 100,000.
Where are we at now?
97,112 subscribers which is really really cool.
So we're almost at 100K.
Leave your guess.
That's your entry to win a one hour coffee with me,
plus a feature in an upcoming Youtube video.
(chuckling)
Welcome to Krypto says, "how much Bitcoin do you own?"
I'm not gonna disclose that.
But I do own some Bitcoin.
(laughing)
Nate says, "you're having a child."
No.
I have two amazing children and that,
I think were good for now.
"Hey Pat, thank you for all the value you provide"
says Patrick.
Hey thank you. (clapping)
so here's the special announcement guys.
I was told, by a number of Youtubers
that you really need to cultivate this tribe on Youtube
to make it successful.
So, first of all you're gonna see a lot more Live videos
like this coming from me.
So make sure you subscribe so that you
can get notified when I go Live.
And we'll do more giveaways.
I love doing giveaways.
I love providing value.
We'll do Q and A's obviously.
If there are any important announcements like this
those will be included in that as well.
But the most important announcement is related
to some piece of advice that a number of people
who are doing very very well on Youtube.
And that is, you really need to make your people
feel welcomed and like they're a part of something.
Right?
And so, I do this on my Podcast.
My Podcast listeners, they all kind of come together
whenever I go to a different country or city,
I just tweet out and mostly Podcast listeners come
and they just, I can literally Tweet somewhere,
I'm gonna be here in an hour,
and there will be people there.
Like it's crazy, right?
But here we are together on Youtube.
And so somebody once said,
Pat you have to give your community a name.
And, we were comin' up with ideas in that and they were like
hey does anybody ever call themselves something
as a result of following you?
Like that's how you build fans.
That's how you make people feel connected,
not just to you but to each other right?
And so, we threw around some names like Flynn Addicts.
That was something that somebody came up with that,
nobody calls themself a Flynn Addict.
I like the name.
(laughs)
You're an addict to Flynn related things
but that's, I don't think that's gonna work.
Flynn Nation, SPI Nation, those kinds of things.
John Lee Dumas from Entrepreneur on Fire has Flynn Nation,
those kinds of things.
But, here's what the thing is.
And this is what I'm,
I'm puttin' down a stake in the ground.
This is what I'm gonna call you guys.
You guys are gonna be seeing yourselves
called out in the beginning of videos,
and I want to welcome you to Team Flynn.
Team Flynn, that's you guys.
Thank you for being a part of Team Flynn.
Team Flynn a lot of people thought
is just my team behind the scenes.
My project managers, my developers, my graphic designers.
Yeah they're Team Flynn,
but you know what actually makes
this thing run is you guys.
So you guys are Team Flynn.
And if you are a part of Team Flynn, and you are a fan,
and you want to be a part of this community,
in the chat type in the hashtag Team Flynn.
Represent.
We're gonna get tee shirts made.
We're gonna get pins.
You guys are amazing.
And the Youtube community, you guys are Team Flynn.
We're in this together.
And make sure you subscribe.
So Team Flynn.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate you.
And the reason why this is Team Flynn is because
I'm not like on the mountain speaking down to you.
We are in this together.
And together we've done some amazing things in the past
like build two schools in Ghana.
That was, as a result of Team Flynn.
Again, I'm just maybe the team captain.
But you know what?
This team wouldn't survive without all the players,
and that's you.
So Team Flynn.
Thank you guys.
Nate, Brian, Andrea, Fran, Willy,
Fly Ride, Scott, John,
Dennis.
You guys are in.
Dude I'm literally getting goosebumps right now.
I'm seriously getting goosebumps.
So again, thank you guys so much.
I appreciate you.
Team Flynn for the win.
Cheers guys and I'll see you in the next one.
