in this video we're gonna take a look at
an Amazon affiliate website a real life
example you'll also be able to get about
a thousand keywords for this website if
you head over to niche type project.com
slash youtube keywords you'll be able to
get all these keywords for this site
plus several others so in total it's
over fifteen thousand keywords and again
there are actually profitable keywords
that you can use on your own or just use
them for research so let's get to the
video
I'm duck huntin from niche site project
taking a look at Amazon affiliate sites
and these are real-life examples so
there's a bunch of others and we're
looking at one that's a little bit
different so this site that we're gonna
take a look at in this video is called a
hundred days of real food and this site
is not a typical you know niche site as
a lot of people think of them this site
actually started as a legit blog in fact
I had heard of this blog back in the day
when I first you know heard about niche
sites from smart passive income the Pat
Flynn so essentially this site was a
blog that this lady created we'll take a
look at her site in a moment this lady
created when you know I think probably
there was some illness in the family or
something and they wanted to eat real
food they had a you know challenge for
themselves to have a hundred days
straight of real food you know I guess
that probably means you know no
artificial sort of like processed foods
and having you know more vegetables and
like real beef like non processed things
will probably get a better understanding
when we take a look at the site I can
tell you some critical information that
I picked up by doing a little research
ahead of time and the site was founded
in May 2010 so it's been around for a
long time and at the time when I pulled
the the stats it had just under a
hundred thousand words of a hundred
thousand keywords rather ranking in the
top 100 here so that's you know a lot
that's quite a few their monthly traffic
estimate okay I always have a little you
know a little bit of a laugh when I look
at this so semrush has a certain
estimate based on those keywords that it
ranks for and then similar web has some
other estimate I don't know how many to
determine it but they have some other
estimate and it's like you know seven
times larger than the the SEMRush
estimate but needless to say they get a
lot of
right and when we look at the traffic
graph at least based on the SEMRush
report we see you know you know not many
visitors here and then like slow growth
and then by the third year or three and
a half years I guess yeah I guess the
third year something big happened right
so I bet the the person's book came out
around that time and then they started
making appearances all over the place so
anyway traffic sort of skyrocketed and
then it's sort of tapered down a little
bit at least per this sort of estimate
the domain authority is 64 which is huge
right so if you watch any of the other
videos the domain Authority is like way
lower trust flow is like 32 so the thing
is like this sites been around for a
while and the person has done many many
you know TV appearances and they've been
around we'll see when we take a look at
the site and lastly they have you know
over a thousand index pages which is
quite a lot so let's take a look at a
hundred days of real food and when you
look at it you could tell you know super
professional they've done a really good
job and it's gone through years of you
know iterations you can see there's a
blog section and they kind of have you
know it outlined where people may be
interested you know latest blog post 100
a challenge the original one here and so
on start here you know it's funny the
start here page is usually just like a
page but you know the start here cut
covers like almost everything you can
see you know read this first and then it
goes from there they do sort of provide
like a hierarchy so read this first and
about they want to get you on the email
list so they go there and you know they
kind of just take you through it all in
fact they you know art team so it's
grown so much they actually have a team
and the cookbooks right so I'm just
gonna open that another window so we can
have a look and they thought I was gonna
exit the page so optinmonster which I
actually use optinmonster optinmonster
popped up a exit intent so they're
trying to give
I won't sign up here and so on so I know
you're probably probably thinking you
know is this an Amazon affiliate site
well I'll show you something Amazon
affiliate stuff in a second but when I
take a look here you can see there's 1.6
million likes on the Facebook page which
is that's pretty serious you know so
when you take a look at the cookbooks
100 days of real food is in New York
Times best seller and then there's a
secondary book here and you can see
there's like a thousand reviews here and
she's actually using genius link which
is cool
Jimmy dot us so that I like genius
they're good folks over there and then
we're looking here another book must be
much newer and you know this was a New
York Times bestsellers they note right
here may be a little hard to see but
yeah you can see it's a New York Times
bestseller so you know that has a lot of
credibility that it adds to it um let's
see what else to point out just right
here did not mean to click that but ok
so as seen on you know all these
different appearances dr. oz and Good
Morning America I mean I'm sure the dr.
oz one is probably like one of the
bigger the bigger things that helped
spread the word from back in the day ok
so the thing we're gonna take a look at
is the shop so you'll notice there's a
nice sort of shop of you know favorite
products they mentioned they've included
some sponsors meal plans and there's
also a gift guide so we'll open that up
that sounds like it could be rich with
Amazon stuff so you'll notice that there
are different things in this shop so you
could buy stuff from Amazon there's
books right so she sells her books
there's organic crackers some more
cookbooks and it just kind of keeps
going so there's a blender a bread maker
and
an espresso machine so there's like a
lot of different things that she pushes
here and if you keep scrolling down
there's more and more and more the thing
is you know this sort of layout wouldn't
necessarily work on you know a normal
person's you know niche site like one of
my niche sites because I don't
necessarily get enough traffic but the
thing is like someone that you know
really respects Lisa they wouldn't you
know we read a bunch of contact they'd
be like oh there's a there's a shop I'll
check it out you maybe I'll buy
something from there and then you know
they find the shop there's tons of stuff
now the thing that you'll notice here
and I sort of cheated right so I didn't
look at all the had all all the posts
here I didn't investigate where she
actually has Amazon links within her
site because I knew that I'd be able to
cheat a little bit so let's look at the
bread maker here and then let's look at
let's see let's find another link Danish
filled pancakes all right so my guess is
that within these reviews there will be
some amazon link somewhere i said i
mentioned for a bread machine okay so
this is probably it so they give the
recipe here and then this right here is
the link you know she's like i said she
uses genius links that's a great product
it simplifies the whole process and it
gives you the capability to get like
geo-targeted amazon purchases but you'll
see here that you know this is an amazon
link so if one were to you know read
this recipe they think hey i want to
make it but I don't have a bread maker
or maybe my bread makers uh you know
piece of junk and I want to get a new
one boom she recommends the Panasonic
and I trust
Lisa so I would buy it so that's how
that kind of stuff works additionally
you'll notice she has like Amazon stuff
she has enough traffic coming through
her site not Amazon absence
banners here so you'll you know you'll
notice that she gets enough traffic that
she can make that work so that's kind of
cool and then so that's the bread maker
filled pancakes so again I'm gonna get
those look pretty good I would get some
of those let's see so there's a hundred
days of real food and I'm looking at the
links here you may not be able to see
those so I bet that if we click on it
it'll just check if you click on that so
this is an amazon link right here too
but it's you know from back in a period
on in 2012 like for whatever reason she
put a link in here that was a little
different but it actually is an Amazon
link here so that's cool and you can see
her tag up here okay so the point is
she's you know she created a blog a real
blog doing stuff that you know she was
focused on and you know when we look
back here like you know she spent three
years working on it she was you know
very slow growth and I mean at this
point I mean this is no joke I mean this
is something like 50,000 visitors a
month per the estimation from SEMRush so
that's a lot of visitors but for a food
blog you know where they share recipes
it's not a huge amount I mean thing is
she developed quite a following through
like over time and she was able to you
know make stuff that she was interested
in and then you know offer up links to
go purchase that stuff like you can't
make this dish without that pan right
it's just not gonna work so
gonna have to check this out it actually
looks really good I mean I guess those
things are filled with some kind of
awesome stuff I don't know you put like
cream cheese in there I guess that's
processed food or defeats the purpose
right okay so before I go too far into a
tangent she has a gift guide right so
this is back from 2011 but like I found
a link somewhere and here I can't
remember where but there was some
mention of a gift guide maybe it was a
very at the very top so a gift guide
here and we'll see what this has it's
been shared a reasonable number of times
you know I'd be super proud if I had
anything shared that much regardless of
the site but you know one that I saw I
didn't point it out but a few of her
posts you know they've been shared tens
of thousands of times she has like a
million and a half likes on Facebook
which is just kind of alarming so we'll
scroll down and we'll see you know
there's just a bunch of different
products that she pushes and again she
gets so much traffic that someone could
stumble across this page I'm just
looking for it and you know I'm obsessed
with like beer and beer brewing and I
can definitely see myself you know if
there was such a beer site to like go
navigate through and like buy the
products a person you're recommending
and it's like on and on and on so so
many of them here and yeah it just it
looks like a really good implementation
of you know a real blog that someone
grew you know I expect she probably
makes more money from like her books in
products that she actually sells but she
does as I keep mentioning there's enough
traffic to the site then it's definitely
worthwhile for her to you know have
these links like throughout her whole
site and using something like genius
links it's super easy to do so we'll
leave it at that and I you know what I
forgot to scroll over if you do
you want to get a look at some of the
key words she has and she's ringing
before he can get a thousand of them
here I'm displaying them now but you
know in this series that I'm doing you
can see all the key words that you know
these sites are ranking for you're sorry
the first thousand it ended up being
overwhelming you can get fifteen
