around affiliate marketing but in fact I
think Marcus we better to introduce

so Marcus tell us about yourself hey
guys I am Marcus I started on YouTube
big about a year ago I've always dabbled
in it but I started really big a year
ago when
realized hey there's a cool platform I
actually have been doing affiliate
marketing internet marketing for almost
20 years now I started back in 1999 when
I was about 19 years old I actually go
with the age so if you want to figure
out my age you can guess it pretty easy
but I started out with nothing literally
started in a mobile home that my brother
owned with a bunch of drug addicts that
lived there and things were miserable
we're gonna have a kid I need to figure
out this stuff work and talk about today
check it out
now I actually believe that it's easier
to get into affiliate marketing now
because one there's way more stuff to
promote two you have things like
WordPress where I mean like literally
click a bunch of buttons and it's good
right I used to have to code things by
hand which my programmer jokes that I
like half of his job is fixing what I
wrecked so you know but it's actually
really easy with platforms like
WordPress and then we got into
developing wordpress plug-ins for
affiliate marketing and since then I've
made a good living make millions of
dollars as an affiliate to an Adsense
Amazon Clickbank pretty much anything
out there drop shipping and everything
like that
so hopefully it's a volume working okay
hopefully the volume is working did we
drop again
did you turn your speaker's down no
they're the same I think yeah okay
hopefully we can get this thing going

I think we've actively working ok cool

know what I'll do is I'll put the little
wireless catch you're a little bit
closer maybe that's the issue okay maybe
that'll help okay so that is the
introduction that's who I am that's what
I've been doing
so yeah that's brings us to today where
I have tons of WordPress sites lots of
affiliate sites and everything like that
good good that's great ocean so um tell
us a little about what kind of affiliate
stuff you've been you've been doing
recently and cool how you have yeah a
little bit okay cool yeah so um I
started big in about 2004 2005 with
affiliate marketing I realized that hey
I was getting a lot of traffic from
search engine optimization and I was
like okay how do I make money with this
got into affiliate stuff today we do a
lot of CPA affiliate stuff which if you
guys were wondering the difference you
have CPA affiliate and you have stuff
like I mean everyone's heard about
Amazon and what happens here is CPA
affiliate stands for cost per action or
cost per acquisition the idea stems from
getting a customer right the most
expensive thing for a business is
getting a customer you look at companies
like Verizon right they will literally
pay you a hundreds of dollars sometimes
I think there was one that had a
thousand bucks they'll pay you a
thousand dollars to switch your phone
service over or something like that
which in my mind tells me a new customer
is worth at least a thousand bucks
because they're shelling that out on top
of TV ads on top of all this other stuff
so when we look at it this company is
willing to pay a lot of money for a
customer now the cool thing is is they
will also pay for an action so I might
not get like $1,000 for a new customer
but I might get $5.00 if someone fills
out a form saying I'm interested in
Verizon or something like that or maybe
I'm interested in this or I'm interested
in that or one of my favorite ways to
make money was with toolbar downloads
right this is where I would literally
have a site about recipe
or one of my famous ones was about Bible
verses right and I'd go get all this
stuff with Bible verses and we look at
it yeah we're like how do I make money
right am I gonna go like sell a Bible if
I sell a Bible on Amazon you know what
I'm gonna get a quarter that's like how
many people want to buy a Bible and so
what I did is I found this toolbar
company and they said hey check this out
if someone downloads a Bible toolbar
from your website from your affiliate
you're gonna get three dollars and 20
cents and I was like wait a minute so I
don't have to sell a Bible I don't have
to get them to put their name and email
in a box I don't even have to get like
all I do is get them to download a Bible
which is what they were looking for in
the first place
boom there you go and when we look at it
right we look at it and we say well if I
get you know a thousand people a day to
my Bible site and I just write this to
keep my thoughts so if you can't see
that don't worry but a thousand people a
day to my Bible site right let's say I
get 10% of those to convert which
actually my number was around 30% on
paid traffic but let's say just to be
safe let's say 10% if I do that now I'm
getting 100 Bible downloads which turns
out to be three dollars and 20 cents
each that's three hundred and twenty
dollars a day from a thousand little
clicks in a niche market that no one
really competes in right and when we
look at this it's like holy cow how can
we do that
all right does that make sense to
everyone yeah that's great all right let
me just see if I can do something with
the sounds just look for two seconds say
something and let's see what what
happens

thought just install some software in
the background I think I've got the
sound routing through to the stream how
does it sound at Marcos and then I'm
going to carry on and I figured out to
do some moving around other windows as
well so we can make the bullet bigger
and that if we need to one person says
worse one person said
it was better before it's not happening
sign language might work better my yeah
or subtitles may Balad subtitles are you

I don't know if it I don't think it's
something online it yeah yeah I think
it's my end is near okay okay it's not
better okay fair enough
let me uh let me then we'll get back to

okay how's it now for my speakers back
up its I got someone who said it's

soon and fold it out I think it's
probably just a video driver for your
speaker's conflicting with something

now so we'll try to we'll try to go with
this but yeah that's kind of the deal
alright does that make sense how you get
someone to download it it's the same as
any other affiliate link you're just
tracked when they go through and boom
you get 320 when they download and I did
this back in the backgrounds in layouts
market I did this with an affiliate site
and we started out we were making like
three hundred dollars a day and again
results not typical I have no idea what
you're gonna get everyone gets different
results the average person doesn't make
anything because they don't know
anything but when we look at this right
I was doing 300 a day in the beginning
and then I found this market and we
started getting like 20,000 visitors a
day and the thing was making like 4500
dollars a day in some instances some of
it was profit the SEO ones I was getting
all free traffic so it was profitable
but on the pay-per-click I was running
like a 60 to 70 percent margin meaning I
would spend a thousand and make like
four grand every day which is really
cool some other things that are really
good is like web hosting right I can get
someone to sign up which like for you
with a wordpress channel you're teaching
WordPress and obviously to do WordPress
the right way you gotta have web hosting
and it's like hey check this out go here
I can be an affiliate of web hosting you
sign up for $7 in a free domain
I get you know 80 hundred bucks
sometimes even 300 if they get like a
big hosting package
there's also offers which are called
email submit email submits are pretty
cool it's like a lead right they would
come in and say let's say for me right I
have a toolbar on my site which will
share a link to the site later and I'll
put all that cool stuff on for you but I
have a toolbar that has all the tools
that I use to make this stuff and I give
it away free right I give it away free
because I know hey if I get a hundred
people to download this toolbar you know
I'm gonna get like ten customers or
whatever ten Custer's ten customers are
worth X amount so I know the value which
means I can pay people to download it
and it works extremely well right that's
the same kind of principle we're using
and we look at it it's extremely good so
let's see JW says would you recommend
using a domain containing the keyword or
doesn't not matter in terms of SEO let's
get both sides what would you think
about that Alex I don't think it matters
as much as it used to
now I think um I I see different
different things I've actually seen that
it does have effect okay my main rule of
thumb for that is that when you go to
Google and you search for it look at the
domains right most of them do have the
have the keyword in it also what you're
looking at is Google does take that into
example right they're gonna be like hey
check it out now it doesn't hold the
weight that it used to like I used to be
able to buy the domain and boot top of
Google but now you know you've got to do
a little bit more it is to me it's worth
the 15 bucks to get a domain that is in
your niche for one reason alone is the
fact that people are gonna click on
right like if I have let's say PC
money-making right I use that for my
support site but if I was to put
everything on that lets say I did a
weight loss site right if I had PC money
making slash weight loss in in the
search engines they'll be like what the
heck is that now I'm gonna go to like
weight loss guy comm or weight loss dude
calm or something like that so there's
several
that I think it's worth it again it's
not that vo and all but it is growing
okay okay ranking but in terms you
click-through rate it's gonna have a
positive effect exactly the number
people search it may not think on the
search engines but wrong things exactly
yeah so yeah well glory there's let's
let's hope glory out what niche are you
in like what would be your crime if I
could get this keyword that would be
good what would that be and what we'll
do is we'll take a look at it and I'll
share with you the glossary method and
the trigger words I'll write these down
glossary and trigger word and we'll go
over these which is really cool because
when you give these like for SEO
WordPress is really cool I love using
WordPress for SEO stuff because it just
ranks instantly you don't need a sitemap
you don't need to need a fancy stuff
it's just really good right so like if
you're in a niche let's say you're in
the bio manage okay people are gonna
look at the Bible niche and they'll say
hey I want to rank for like Bible
download or viable toolbar okay they're
gonna say I want to rank for this stuff
and for me I never say that I want to
rank for this like I don't I'm like I'm
not gonna rank for the Bible download
I'm not gonna rain for the Bible toolbar
if I want those words and I have to have
them that I'm gonna go buy them all
right I'm gonna pay for traffic but if I
wanted to get an SEO what we have to do
is we have to realize that every single
Bible verse in the entire Bible is a
niche right you think about that you're
like okay well Romans 8 12 or whatever
Romans 8:13 all these stuff people are
looking up and it's like boom there you
go I'm like pastor Duke he's got a Bible
site with 30k traffic a month how does
he get the offer
well we'll show you how where to get
that and how to get that at the end now
glory says building wealth and
photography okay step number one both of
those need to be separate okay you gotta
have building wealth
making money all that stuff
and then you gotta have photography they
need to be to different sites no ifs
ands or buts they have to be okay the
reason they have to be is because you
want to build these up in their own
respective niches okay so if I go in
there and I say building wealth
okay building wealth is super broad okay
and if you're going for building wealth
okay that is going to be super broad
it's gonna be super competitive it's
gonna be ridiculous so what I say do is
you look for the terminology people use
right so we're here we're on Alex's
Channel and Alex talks about WordPress
okay Alex do you rank number one for the
word WordPress Yeah right so there we go
now I don't either like I'm trying to
get right for affiliate marketing but
I'm not I'm not even like page five I
think I've page three or five or stuff
like that so I don't rank for so what we
want to do is want to look at so alex
has this channel it's all about
WordPress now WordPress people like us
we talk about things like permalinks
right if you go to a restaurant and you
go to the guy next to you and go hey
dude how's your permalinks he's gonna
look at you and be like this is a
hamburger what's what's wrong with you
because he doesn't speak that language
however people in your market for
WordPress talk about plugins to talk
about all-in-one SEO plugin they talk
about WordPress they talk about themes
and talk about content they talk about
pages they talk about posts they talk
about ranking they talk about RSS feed
they talk about all these things now all
of these things are your niche right so
it's a lot easier for us to go into a
niche and take something like building
wealth
okay building wealth you could go in and
you want to find words like how to add
to your IRA how to save for retirement
how to build wealth on a hundred dollars
a week okay you're gonna find keywords
and you're gonna do this using the
Google Keyword tool the Google Keyword
tool will go through and it's the
backdoor Google that shows you hey
building wealth is search for a thousand
times a month or whatever IRA is this
much it's kind of like this right we did
an example
years ago for the tax stuff okay tax
stuff here in the US I don't know how it
is in the UK there we were actually just
talking about that but in the u.s. it's
complicated right we go through it I
mean your head stick okay so now for the
tax thing you're not gonna rank for like
tax or lower tax payment but what you
can do is you could start to rank for
things like 1099 form you can rank for
things like 1040ez okay or how to fill
this out or how to fill that out right
and now what's happening is you're using
the keywords in your market to fuel the
tax market around the beaten path and
now you're getting a bunch of traffic so
for our friend here with building wealth
boom that's how you know photography
same kind of thing outdoor photography
what kind of outdoor are you talking
about lenses are you talking about this
and what I call this is the major in the
minors right you want to major in the
minors instead of trying to major in the
majors because you're not going to write
you're gonna be like our friend there
who's like I can't get traffic I don't
know how it's working right what's going
on right you look at our guy with 30,000
visitors a month for Bible he probably
didn't do it by ranking for the word
Bible he probably ranks for all the
subcategory stuff and when you're on the
internet subcategory stuff has plenty of
traffic to make us all retired right

yeah so we've had a couple of questions
come in now interesting the Ian's just
said would you advise getting into the
hosting affiliate space because the
Commission's so good so much higher and
as I mentioned before we started a lot
of my guys are doing Amazon where the
Commission rate is quite low so have you
got any thoughts and when it comes to
choosing an offer and choosing a niche
you know what kind of process do you go
for in terms of choosing something to
promote and you know you can't just look
at how much they pay per sign up can you
is that is that what you look at or is
it more to it than that go to search
engine they were the only ones that had
a keyword tool at the time
now you can use the Google AdWords tool
now what I do is I go to the Google
AdWords tool I start there and I don't I
don't plan on anything
I plan on nothing and I go through and I
use what I call a trigger word okay a
trigger word would be something like
download find spreadsheet plans PDF okay
notice that all these words they're not
they want to download you know we have
no idea what they want okay so we go
through and we use these words and
Google's going to tell us you know it's
gonna say download video download this
download that it's gonna show us what
they want to download now when we go
into this we're gonna find things like
years ago I found the word download WM
player some kind of player thing for
video everyone wanted to look at that
and so we went through and I was like
okay well what can we offer so first I
find my keyword then I find something to
offer so you can do this backwards okay
you could do this backwards like if you
wanted to do hosting okay you're like
dude I am dead set on selling hosting
okay you're gonna look at it and the
word hosting is gonna be expensive
I mean these companies pay like nine ten
$18.00 a click right you're not gonna
compete you're not just doing think
about the same as a sound sorry I can't
hear Alex now okay are we can you hear

how we doing is anyone else how okay
looks looks like we're okay I just turn
your sound way up I guess is gonna be
the key I just started the big camera so
I'll have the big camera on a backup so

yeah that's the idea is is to look at it
in like with hosting right web hosting
we want to look at that and say okay
well web listings too competitive but I
can go for something like how to set up
a wordpress blog on a domain okay the
guy needs hosting he just doesn't know
it yet
a guy looking up a certain form I
believe it was the some kind of IRS form
for a payment plan okay now I know that
this guy needs a payment plan right
campus access so he needs a plan that's
what the forum is for okay I can help
him find the forum and then I could be
like hey check out this stuff to save
money on taxes or whatever and it works
really really good okay don't make sense

phrases in WordPress when you do the
keyword phrases in WordPress you want to
put them in the title okay first of all
put them in the title get them in your
title
then get them in your body copy in the
body copy make it make sense okay a lot
of people think you have to be like if
your keyword was building wealth you
have to be like hi I'm Marcus today
we're gonna talk about building well
building wealth is really good and if
you learn to build well building wealth
ins you don't need to do that you just
need to keep it to topic okay again the
number one thing doesn't matter where
you put it on your site if you have the
right keyword done deal you're gonna
rank that's the thing right you have to
have the right keyword and that's the
thing now I found out that on one of my
sites a couple weeks ago we started
ranking for some word about like how to
make money with a Wix site gives me
traffic every single day
again all I did is I had it in the title
I posted a YouTube video as the content
done deal all I did is repurpose my
video for my site and now I get traffic
every single day for that so it's really
cool um let's see here I know I missed a
question so I'll see if I can get that
um let's see okay someone asked a good
one about what depend okay that was a
keyword one all right Sarang says any
online marketing business doable on a
mobile device I don't have a desktop as
of now yes everything can be done on a
mobile a mobile is like a 2006 computer
so the same kind of deal now I would
HIGHLY highly highly recommend that you
go get yourself at least a Chromebook or
it's some kind of laptop for 200 bucks
just so you can text me and it's like
QJ LP when I end up texting them back
because I have like horse hands but we
go through right you can do it you can
do it on mobile if you set up your
WordPress site maybe go to a library set
it up there and then remember your
password put it on your phone and then
you can post right from your phone super
easy but yeah not too bad okay Ian says
how easy do you think it would be to
start creating a YouTube channel around
affiliate marketing in this day and age
super easy right here's what you do
again I've been doing this a long time I
can't rank for the word affiliate
marketing I probably will eventually but
right now I doubt alright so what I do
is I find things related to
affiliate marketing off-the-beaten-path
okay off the beaten path I go through
and I'm like okay well what about words
like Adsense or how to put Clickbank on
WordPress right that's looked up every
single day how do you put Clickbank ads
on WordPress I know they want to make
money I know their affiliate marketing
and I know they have WordPress boom
perfect person I might not get the
thousand people a day that affiliate
marketing has but I can get 10 or 50 a
day and there we go we're off to the
beaten path we start to build if I get
10 to 50 off that word I get another one
maybe one of the big ones I did years
ago you look at this and you look at the
value of your market okay I wanted to go
into the SEO market SEO search engine
optimization expensive market dudes are
paying 20 to 50 dollars a click I was
like how do I do this
I looked up all-in-one SEO plugin
tutorial took me five minutes to make
the tutorial we ranked right on top and
boom there we go super super easy and
it's like that's the same word right
they want the same result so we do that
in boom we're off to the races and off
of that I think we got don't quote me I
think it's like forty to sixty thousand
views and when you do this right a lot
of people are like have Marcus only has
1.7 million views he's a loser whatever
and that's cool because I'm making a
living off it right in when we look at
it okay we focus on the viewers that
want what we have to offer because you
could go out there you can put silly
videos up and get a lot of stuff or you
could do refined stuff for or find niche
and build okay couple of good questions
came in here what is the best theme for
CPA okay good the best theme for CPA is
the themes that I build myself I
actually build these themes we include
them in our simple sites course the
simple sites course has themes
it has plugins that are custom designed
you can't get them anywhere else what I
did is when I got into WordPress in 2009
I had my programmer and I said what this
is what I do on my sites that make
millions of dollars make this work on
WordPress and he made it work for me so
that I can use it on WordPress because I
wanted the benefit and then after
everyone was like hey we want your
plugin so
how to make them so they're really easy
to use same thing with the themes with
the theme you want something that
doesn't diminish your content so what I
do is I like a two column theme with
some kind of little header on the top
okay what I do in mine is I use a
plug-in that we had developed for us
in-house it's called squeezed bogs
squeezed blogs Pro and it allows you to
actually turn your blog into a squeeze
page so I can actually have like five
pages okay and as we know being
WordPress people the posts are behind
okay now if you leave it like normal
you're gonna have your posts in your
roots and comments and all your stuff on
the sidebar this plug-in actually allows
you to put a squeeze page on one of your
posts or pages and then hide everything
else so like I can have a site that
looks like five pages to the normal
person and then Google's looking at it
they're like dude this site's awesome
it's got so many posts it's really cool
and I can actually control different
sidebar things on different posts and
pages and the way that it goes through
works good so four themes to column for
your sidebar that's where a lot of your
money and a lot of your opt-ins are
gonna come in it works really good what
I'll do is towards the end I'll give you
guys an example of that or maybe we'll
put it on the WP eagle comm slash Marcus
so you guys can see the examples okay
violet says there is like a whole list
you have to follow according to SEO
premium pack oh yeah
I don't follow it I just I think I
installed it I actually don't install it
anymore I gone my sites now I don't use
an SEO plug-in quite simply because all
you need to do is have your title after
the keyword you want which works really
good is that it when it comes told
someone zation you don't go any further
than that
what's that you don't go any further
than that when it comes to optimization
yep okay yeah I just I go for the title
I tried to put a video like if I did a
video and it was like 20 minutes or less
I'd actually get that transcribed and
put it on the site and then what I
actually started doing in December or my
friend September is I hired
to people locally and all they do is
watch my videos and make little guides
right and they'll make the guide and
I'll put the guide on my site and boom
now we get traffic which is really cool
perfect cool all right r7 says is the
blog the best place in a site to put
your keyword phrases no that would be

could decide not to pay affiliates all
kinds of stuff so what I do is I try to
go for a solution because if I have a
solution it's a lot easier to make a

doesn't matter if however I go for how

you know some people in England like to
watch the football that should be called
handball because you guys have it right
we have it wrong right if they want to

it on a regular TV but you can do it on
