Amazon Affiliate Website with WordPress & Free Theme Storefront #Best Education Page #Online Earning

Amazon Affiliate Website with WordPress & Free Theme Storefront

in this video I'm going to be showing
you how to create an Amazon affiliate
website using WordPress and WooCommerce
the site we can be making looks just
like this as you can see I am promoting
beer-related clothing and products but
you can promote whichever products you
like in whichever niche you like the
site is really easy to set up and
customize you can add your own logo you
can change the color scheme all sorts of
things and make it your own now don't
worry if you've ever made the website
before I'm going to be taking you
through everything step by step from
setting up the hosting to installing
WordPress configuring it all up adding
products adding content basically
everything you need to know now this
video is quite long but hopefully you
better get through it and by the end of
it you too will have your very own
Amazon affiliate websites so let's get
started
[Music]
and always alix here from wpu thanks for
watching so yeah in this video I'm going
to be showing you how to create an
Amazon affiliate website using WordPress
so let me just explain what being an
Amazon affiliate is all about you w
little diagram you sign up as an
affiliate with Amazon and you do that by
scrolling down to the bottom of the
website you know amazon where amazon or
coke UK look for the word Amazon
Associates I don't know why they use the
word Associates because it's the same
thing especially an affiliate yes you
sign up and then you can then send
traffic over to Amazon using some unique
tracking links so that Amazon know that
traffic's come from you so yeah you send
traffic over to Amazon when that traffic
then makes a purchase and they can buy
whatever they want on Amazon isn't
necessarily has to be the thing that
you're talking about you then get some
commission and that commission kind of
varies depending on the stuff you're
promoting but yeah that's how it works
and also it's a nice way of earning some
extra income now today we're going to be
using WordPress and the sort of site
we're gonna be making is a bit like a
mini e-commerce sort of site you're able
to add products to the site and then
when people come visit your site then
you can then add those products to a
basket and then when they click checkout
then redirected off to Amazon to make
their purchase and that's when you earn
your commission now I've got loads of
videos on being an Amazon affiliate over
on the channel so be sure to check them
out in terms of how they work out which
Nisha want to promote how to get traffic
to your site all that kind of thing is
in other videos I'm not gonna be going
into all that stuff in this video in too
much detail all going in today is making
the website however I will say that
Amazon do offer different levels of
Commission depending on the category of
product that you're going to be
promoting so that's probably going to
influence the market that you are going
to want to create a website about I'll
put a link in the description below to
the page on Amazon where you can check
out the different other commissions for
different categories so let's talk about
what you're going to need today I've
created this video with a low budget in
mind I want to try and keep the cost to
you to a minimum but unfortunately like
all good business adventures there is a
small cost involved to get this website
up running
let me just explain what that is right
now so the first thing you're going to
need is a domain name now the main name
is like amor co uk or net something dot
whatever and the cost for that is going
to be around twelve dollars some of that
if you go to GoDaddy that's how much
they're selling coms for the year so not
a huge amount for that the second thing
you're going to need is hosting hosting
is basically hiring a small bit of a
server off a company and they've across
your website make sure that it's
available on the Internet the cost for
that depends on the kind of term that
you're going to go for with your hosting
so if you just want to go for a month
which to be fair is probably not gonna
be long enough to get this lot of
running and get it working but if you do
just wanna go for a month I put a
voucher code with Hostgator Who am I
chosen hosting provider because they're
really good and they're really good
value for money if you use the code that
I'm going to provide in this video and
get your first month for just a penny
however I think you probably need your
website for at least six months
so the price for six months of hosting
again using the voucher code that I
provide it's going to come in at $49 for
six months
the final thing you're gonna need is the
plug in and plug it's called Woo's own
and that does all of the Amazon stuff
for us it's a premium plug-in so I'm
afraid you are going to have to pay for
it whether all the money you do get to
the plug-in and you get support and you
get updates and because for the plug-in
is just forty seven dollars that's all
we're going to need to spend today to
get the website up running WordPress and
WooCommerce and all the other things
that we're going to be using they're all
free you're probably thinking well how
much money can I make with an Amazon
affiliate website and well really it
depends I've heard from a number of
viewers that I've made quite a bit of
money and the majority of my viewers
they make you know a reasonable amount
of money from each site and many of them
have multiple sites and let me just show
you an example of a site created by one
of my viewers after watching one of my
previous tutorials is this site here
it's all about growing a beard and
looking after your beard as you can see
it's great thing about this site is not
only has it got lots of great beard
related products it's also got some
great content so you'll see there's
guides on how to look after your beard
and basically anything to do with
keeping and growing a beard so that way
it attracts people from across
Internet to come and read the articles
and the articles are of course linked to
products they recommend products etc so
when someone goes off to Amazon and
makes that purchase the site owner gets
their commission great thing about this
site is that it does offer value and it
has a lots of great content and I've
spoken to the creator of the site and
they're earning you know a reasonable
amount of money off the site and it's
inspire them to go on and create a
second site not being related a greatly
different niche but using the same kind
of formula of adding products and
creating great content okay so hopefully
you're about ready to start creating
your Amazon affiliate website if you
haven't thought of the kind of brunch on
a boat or a market want to go into if
you look in the description I will link
off to some other guides videos not
necessarily my videos but other videos
on YouTube
where you can learn about how to choose
a niche and you know how to choose the
products that you're going to promote on
Amazon if you do know what you want to
promote and you're ready I think it's
time to get started
so I'm going to get on the computer it
is quite a long video and because
there's quite a lot to go through you'll
find timings in the description below so
you can quickly click to certain areas
on the video skip ahead that sort of
thing but make sure you got a nice cup
of tea or a cup of coffee and a bit of
time and I wish you the best of luck if
you get stuck at any point or you got
any questions or comments please leave
them below or do check out wpm over
there you'll find a forum where lots of
my viewers talk to each other and I also
get involved terms of helping people out
and answering questions but that's
enough of my face for now let's go on
the computer and get started setting
this website up so the first thing we
need to do is set up our web hosting
your web hosting is where your website
is going to live you basically just hire
a little bit of a server and the company
that you hire with keeps your website up
and running and it makes it available on
the internet now my preferred host is
Hostgator there's a number of reasons
that I recommend Hostgator first is
they're extremely good value for money
with prices starting at just 395 per
month in dollars they're one of the
cheapest hosts out there that it really
comprised too much on performance
you still get a good website that runs
nice and fast and it
able to run all of the plugins and
things that we're going to be using on
our WordPress website other great things
about hostgator include a 45 day money
back guarantee so if whatever reason
you're not happy you can just cancel and
get your money back no questions asked
they offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee
which means that your website should be
available pretty much all of the time
they won't go down you get 24/7 365
technical support I use the online web
chat feature that they offer find it
works really well you just send a
message and you get your help
pretty much straight away and the final
reason is it's really easy to install
WordPress with Hostgator they've just
got a simple one-click install and
you're all done and we'll be doing that
after we've we've got our hosting set up
so let's do that now let's get it set up
I'm going to go into web hosting you'll
notice there is a WordPress hosting you
don't need this you just need to
standard web hosting you can install
WordPress on that and it works fine
there's no need to pay extra for the
WordPress hosting and within the the
general hosting there is free different
plans and it really depends on how many
websites you're thinking of setting up
if you're just going to be doing the one
for now
then the hatchling plan is probably
going to be fine if you're thinking of
adding more sites in the future then you
might want to go for the baby plan or
the business plan but it's very easy to
switch between plans once you're in
anyway so don't worry too much right now
if you're unsure then just go for the
hatchling plan which I'm going to do now
when I click sign up now now we're on
the order form the first question is
about your domain name so if you're
looking to register a new domain name
you can do that with Hostgator and just
simply type it into this box here and
Hostgator will go off and do a search
and check whether it's available or not
and if it is you can just simply
register it of course you can register
domain name with another provider like
GoDaddy if you like it's entirely up to
you I'll show you how to use a domain
that's registered elsewhere later on in
this tutorial the tab here that we can
click if we are going to be using a
domain that we already own which is what
I'm going to be doing today so if you've
got your domain registered
someone else this is the option you need
I'm going to type my domain in and the
domain I'm using today is beer shirts
code at UK it's going to press tab to
move to the next field is going to do a
quick search and it's added it then it's
also show me if I want to register any
other variations of the domain which
we're not going to now I'm happy just to
keep the one so let's scroll down the
next we can choose our hosting plan is
already selected hatchling which is what
I clicked on a few moments ago if you
want to change it now you can just use
this drop down the next is the billing
cycle number of options regarding that
now it is better value if you go for a
longer term so twelve months the price
drops quite considerably go to 36 months
it's even cheaper so keep that in mind
when you're choosing your billing cycle
at the end of day you're going to need
your website for at least three months
and really to get it going and add
content and get it ranking on Google and
all that sort of stuff
1 months not really going to be long
enough for that although to be fair some
people have had a site get traffic
within that time but I think pretty free
months is the minimum but if you can
afford it and you want to save a bit of
money then go for 12 months or 24 months
or 36 months leave it on 36 months for
now oh by the way I'm going to give you
a voucher code very shortly as we scroll
down the page and that voucher code
gives you a 30% discount on top of the
discounts that you're already going to
get and if you do go for the one month
it gives you the first month for just a
penny so depends on what you're doing if
you go for the one month it will be a
penny for the first month and then the
usual price after that if you go for any
of the other packages it will be a 30%
discount now I really want to stress
that the discounts you get for the
longer periods are quite big so if you
do go for the penny one-month thing
that's fine
but overall you are going to end up
paying more if you can stretch to 36
months that's three years it costs about
the same so three years comes in around
$100 with my discount voucher whereas
you know the one month
the free month and six months they're
going to come in around that if you if
you run there for a year they come in
pretty a little bit more than $100 so if
you go for that one you're basically it
in two years of hosting for free if you
look at it like that so all I want to do
is just stress that if you've got some
money now then go for a longer period
because you're going to save a ton of
money especially when you use my
discount voucher next field is username
to enter the username you want to use
and that's going to be the username that
you use to log into Hostgator to set
things up and all that sort of stuff
this one enter a security pin you're
going to need that whenever you phone up
Hostgator if you need any support I'm
not going to fill all these in right now
because that little bit boring I'm just
going to talk you for it the next one is
the billing info so in here enter your
email and name and address and all that
other stuff and make sure that you
select your payment type whether you
want to use your credit card or your
paypal account scroll down to section 4
we've got some additional services here
you're not going to need any of these
so just antic anything that might be
ticked we can secure our site using
plugins and I can recommend some
software for email and backups and all
that sort stuff so you don't need to pay
Hostgator for any of those things
next is the coupon code so this is
important I've got a coupon code if you
enter the code eagle 30 you get your
discount there we go see it's a bigger
discount than we already had now the
code is an affiliate code so I will earn
a commission if you use it I'd like to
say thank you very much
if you do use it I really appreciate it
you know helps me to kind of pay for
making these videos and all that sort of
stuff so yeah really appreciate it if
you use it of course if you don't want
to you don't have to so let's just
review all the details now
Hostgator for some reason on this order
form they do sneakily try and add the
add-ons back on so you know I just um
tick this is ticked again so just unpick
that it's very sneaky make sure you
double check
that everything is unpicked and there we
go so that's our 36 month package let me
just show you what happens actually if
we do go for the one month just to prove
that the code works as I said if you go
for one month and then make sure hit
doesn't take any additional services
naughty order form so you get your first
month there for just a penny so you know
if funds are tight then maybe that
option for you it's a bargain there for
the first month let's say if you can't
afford it it's better value if you go
for the longer term okay so that's it
finally you just need to take the terms
and conditions box and then you're ready
to checkout so what I'll do is I'll fill
in this form now and I'll get my hosting
package all set up and then we'll carry
on setting up a website okay so I
completed my order form and did my
payment and all that sort of stuff and
it's now going to set up my account
that's going to take a few moments after
it's all set up will receive an email
with all our details that we need to log
in to our hosting account and set up our
website if you seem to be sitting on
this page for a while like I am you can
redirected so happens there we go we're
in so I'm just going to go and check my
email now and see if I received my
details it's automatically logged me in
but if for whatever reason you haven't
logged in you're going to need that
email so let me just pop into my email
inbox now okay so here's the email it's
arrived and here I've got all my details
that I'll need you need to keep this
email safe and you might want to change
the password because it's generates your
password if that's quite hard to
remember but you can do all that within
the Hostgator control panel so Texas you
control panel you click on this link
here
I'm ready logged in because it does that
after you've signed up and here's your
password and all that stuff now the next
thing that we need to do and this
applies to people that have already got
a domain name may be registered
elsewhere with companies like GoDaddy or
cheap or named stir somewhere like that
it means to update our name servers now
if you've just registered a domain with
Hostgator you don't need to worry about
this you'll be good to go as soon as
your domains registered now we'll just
say that it can take a little while for
domains especially new registrations for
it to all kind of go through and
propagate around the world and actually
start working so give it a couple of
hours if nothing showing on the main
name and so it will appear once you give
it a bit of time so to repoint our name
servers I'm going to log in to my domain
registrar which is GoDaddy so let me
just pop over there now and I'm already
logged in now what I'm doing don't worry
if you're not with GoDaddy principle is
pretty much the same we just want to
update our name servers and it's pretty
much the same as saying on most domain
registrar so let's go to manage my
domains you'll find a similar thing with
whoever you're registered with they need
to find the domain which is this one I'm
going to scroll down
I've got manage DNS and give that a
click so my records I'm going to ignore
that I'm just gonna scroll down where it
says name servers and I'm going to click
Change okay for custom that it's gonna
be two boxes to enter my name servers so
going back to that email
there we go that's my first name set I'm
just going to copy that into my
clipboard paste that into the first box
go back to the email get the second one
paste that into second box then click
Save
so that's all done that's going to take
a few moments to take effect and
hopefully when it's all done and working
when I visit via shirts but credit UK or
you visit whichever domain name you're
using you will see a Hostgator page
which means that everything is working
but in the meantime while that's doing
whatever it needs to do in order to work
let's go back into Hostgator and install
WordPress so I can close
tabs close that close me email and I'm
back in Hostgator so what I'm going to
do is click on hosting
now I've got a number of different
hosting accounts with Hostgator funnily
enough so if you have to make sure that
you select the right domain do that
right now so I'm on my beer shirt store
credit UK then if we scroll down a
little bit we can see that there's this
button here that says WordPress
one-click installation and that's what
we need so let's give that a click
and here we go we're ready to install
WordPress so just need to fill in a few
settings first off we need to select the
domain which is beer shirts leave the
directory box blank then click Next here
we can give our blog hall website a name
via shirts here you type in admin
username and this is the username that
you're gonna be using to log into
WordPress so logging into WordPress is
different than logging into your
Hostgator control panel so put something
in there that you'll remember you can
type in your name here if you like and
then you need to type in an admin email
address that would be used by the
website to send you information about
you know whatever is going on in your
website so make sure you enter a valid
email address in there you want to leave
that ticked where it says automatically
create a new database for this
installation and then you need to just
tick the terms of service agreement then
the button lights up and we're ready to
go so let's give it a click it's going
to take a few seconds so that's already
done now there's a very important
information right here
there's username that I just entered but
it's generated a password I'm going to
need that so I'm just going to copy that
to my clipboard I'm going to change it
once I've logged into something I can
remember which I'll show you how to do
but make sure you make a note of this
password for now because you you're
going to need it so I click the login
hopefully the login screen will come up
however it depends on whether that DNS
change has taken effect or if you just
registered a new domain name with
Hostgator whether that registration and
all that's gone through so let's give it
a click and see what happens
bingo
got our WordPress login screen now if
you don't see this don't panic providing
you've just done everything correctly
you'll be fine just need to give it a
bit of time so go make yourself a cup of
coffee for your tea and whatever and
come back in half an hour an hour and
try again and hopefully you'll see the
screen so let me enter the username
which is what I was set I'm going to
paste in the password which I just
copied
I'm going to click login the browsers
asking me for the soda password I can do
but I'm going to change it anyway okay
so we've got a few little boxes at the
top which making this place look untidy
so let's just close them the next one
says that the site is currently is
playing a coming soon page and that will
go want to remove the plugins that we
don't need don't worry too much about
that and then I'm just going to close
this as well I'm going to clean up the
install in a second removing plugins and
things that we don't need which I'll
take you through but anyway the first
job is to reset my password to something
that I can remember so I'm going to
users there and all users and now I am
I'm going to click Edit if I scroll down
got a new password option you can click
generate password and again it generated
something that I'm never going to
remember of course have user password
manager it's fine but for now I'm just
going to change it something that I can
remember it's going to click hide just
so you guys can see it then type in my
new password
it thinks it's week so I need to tick
that box and then click update profile
and there we go my passwords changed so
I said before we get started I want to
just clean up the inter tour make it
nice and fresh because Hostgator 10:22
total some plugins and stuff that we
don't really need so let's just take
them out
I think WordPress is the more plugins
that you install can have a performance
impact on your site so it's best to any
install ones that you need so I'm going
to deactivate jetpack deactivate Google
Analytics for now you'll find some other
videos on my channel about Google
Analytics and how to add it and their
deactivate Mojo marketplace as well we
don't need it so now I'm just going to
tick all of those plugins that is Hello
Dolly Eva then on this little drop down
I'm going to select delete and then
apply it and then okay
that's it they're all gone let's just go
back to our dashboard nice looking a lot
cleaner now not so many pop-up boxes
okay so the next thing I'm going to do
is I'm going to install WooCommerce
which is a free econ most plugin which
we're going to use to power the shopping
cart and the products and what sort of
thing
then we're going to lose owned on top of
that which does all the Amazon stuff so
let's do that now so we go to plugins
and add new they do a search going to
type in WooCommerce first one that comes
up I'm going to click install now that's
installed I'm going to click activate
we've got a little setup with it that we
need to just go through so let's click
let's go first thing it's going to do is
install a few essential pages which we
need so our shop page cut page checkout
page and the my account page err though
we don't really need that to be fair
with an affiliate site but no mind let's
click continue here you need to set your
local settings
I mean UK a leave that as it is that
your currency and your weights that's
all fine now if you look at we shipping
products which I doubt your are is your
going to be using it as an affiliate
site can take all these boxes click
continue and again with payments we
don't need that because Amazon is going
to be doing all that stuff so let's
click continue and then that's what
commerce all done let's just return to
the wordpress dashboard
okay so now we need to install Wu's own
which is our Amazon affiliate to plug in
its going to get all our products down
and manage all the affiliate tracking
and all that sort of stuff
so it's over on code Canyon let me just
bring up the page do a search for Wu's
own and it's just one here it's called
WooCommerce Amazon affiliates WordPress
plug-in I'll put a link up on the screen
now if you use that link thank you very
much it's an affiliate link it will take
you straight to this page where you can
make your purchase you're going to need
to sign up for the invite own market and
deposit some funds and let sort of stuff
so the cost for the plug-in is 42
dollars for that you get six months
support and your updates and all that
sort of stuff it's a great price so I'm
just going to purchase the license and
then I'll be ready to go okay so I made
my purchase I'm ready to go there's a
download button here so I can just give
that a click and we're gonna be
downloading a zip file let me just save
it to my computer so I'm gonna click
Save to save that there we go I'm going
to take a look at that zip file on my
computer there it is then I'm going to
extract the zip file within there
there's a folder called nine point zero
point four point six that's the version
number it may change don't worry about
that then within that folder there's
another folder called plug-in and then
we have Wu's own zip which is the file
that we going to be uploading to our
website so let's do that now go back to
my dashboard I'm actually to close this
Hostgator tab we don't need that anymore
so within WordPress I'm going to go to
plugins and add new then upload plug-in
and choose file and I'm in the correct
folder there's the extracted folder the
one of the version I'm not going to go
with in there into plug in and select
Wu's own dot zip make sure you do select
weaboos own got zip and not the zip that
you downloaded which will start with the
word code Canyon that won't work you
need to extract it first and then find
the zip inside click install now that's
done let's click activate
okay a few things that popped up it says
that recommends using these themes we're
not gonna using them today we're using a
free team so dismiss this notice you'll
find other videos on my channel where I
do make size using the kingdom theme if
you're interested the next message is
regarding our memory limit and I'll be
showing you how to increase that in a
second
and this final message is around the
default setup so let's do that now let's
click install install default setup it's
going to clean everything make sure that
it's all default so let's just refresh
the page and there we go so it's asking
for the item purchase code we go back to
code Canyon and then if I go back to the
Wu's own page just to search w.zahn
there it is
I think it's called W zone actually I
don't know I'm calling it wounds own it
or usually called blue zone that's why
maybe it's W thing yeah and on this page
under the support tab if you scroll down
you'll find all your purchased codes now
I've got a few I'm just going to choose
the one I bought today copy that into my
clipboard back to the website and paste
it in and click activate now
there we go all done ready to go okay so
next thing we need to do is up our
memory limit I'm going to show you how
to do that now so we get rid of this
message it's just that when commerce and
booze only need a little bit more serve
and memory now I know I just closed that
hostgator tab but actually we do keep to
go back into eyes go to control panel
never mind so I'm just going to quickly
pop over my email and get the link and
all that stuff so let's do that now
okay we are back in my email and let me
just click on there to get into the
control panel and the password which
here or in there is what I'll show you
how to change that password okay I'm
just going to close this survey okay to
change the password I'll just go
quitting keeping all these messages just
go up here double click on your username
click password and security into the old
password which I'm going in my clipboard
and enter your new one and click Change
Password now
it helps if you put buzz within the
match like that there we go
okay so just need to login again with
the new password there we go
I'll get my Braille my browser to save
that one so let's up that memory limit
that's why we came here let's go to
files file manager
I don't worry I know it looks a bit
techie we're just looking at the files
that are on the server just need to edit
one very slightly so I'm going to double
click on public public HTML gonna click
on the little icon don't click on the
name of the live it tries to rename it
as you just saw the file we wanted WP
configures that on there it's going to
highlight that and then I'm gonna come
up here I'm going to click code editor
gives us some stuff don't worry about
that just click Edit we just need to add
a line to this file you'll find all of
the bits of code and everything that I
use within this tutorial in the
description of this video on youtube or
over at WP eagle comm on the blog post
around this video and you can just
simply copy and paste from my website
into your WP config so I've already got
the line that we need in my clipboard
I just sneakily copied it so I'm just
going to paste that and I'm going to
paste it just here so let's paste there
we go that's what it is it's define into
brackets and a speech mark thing WP
underscore memory underscore limit the
mouth speech mark than a comma and a
space then another speech mark then 1 to
8 m and then another switch mark then a
bracket then a semicolon if you want to
type it in but as I say you can just
copy it from the description if YouTube
let me put it in there fit in then
you'll definitely find it over at WP
Eagle com
so that's done let's click Save Changes
now if that's all worked we go back to
our website which is over here and if i
refresh this page using my browser
refresh button this message should go
let's see Dada
all done so now we've got our memory
increased we're ready to carry on
setting up our website so let's close
some of these tabs I'm going to try and
keep it tidy in this video first thing
we need to do is our Amazon config so
let's click on Amazon config so the
first option is the request type you can
leave that at auto detect the next one
is the Amazon locations now worldwide is
all possible locations that's what it
says anyway but it actually means
amazon.com basically so if you're in the
US or whatever you give me from rating I
was gonna calmly on world wide if you go
for more country specific one and select
it here I'm going for UK because the
website is beer shirt store credit okay
so I'm just going to pull products down
from Amazon in the UK and get some
traffic to our website from the UK so
all falls in line and when it comes to
setting up different country sites I get
this question quite a lot you know I
want to promote lots of different
countries what should I do it's entirely
up to you and you're going to want to
leave it on worldwide if you're going to
be promoting from lots of different
countries and Wuzhou actually gives
customers the option to select which
Amazon they check out from so it's not a
problem from a traffic point of view
sometimes it's easier to get local
traffic if you've got individual sites
so you know beers shirt stop reddit UK
could be my UK site and then I can have
beer shows de has my Germany site and
have different content and different
products specific for those markets
that's another way of doing it but I'll
leave that on UK scroll down so the next
thing is we need to enter our access
keys these are required for us to pull
down products from Amazon so before we
go much further you are going to need to
sign up as an Amazon affiliate show you
how you do that go over to Amazon to go
to the Amazon for the country that can
promoting service amazon.com get
amazon.com its UK then go to Amazon code
UK so I'm over at Amazon
okay I'm already signed up as an M&M
affiliate if you're not scroll down to
the bottom of your the Amazon site and
you'll find Associates Program here give
that a click and fill in the form and
you'll be able to sign up now they are
going to ask you about your website and
obviously we haven't created one yet
just enter your domain name it doesn't
matter if it's work in progress because
Amazon aren't going to come over and
check you out until you start sending
them some traffic so you should be fine
to just enter the domain that you'll be
using and that would be okay and then
when you start get you know get up
running start selling them traffic then
they'll come in and see whether you are
going to be approved
whichever you will be so once you've
signed up as an associate and go back to
your move zone and then we're going to
get our keys and to do that we need to
click on this one here which is the AWS
account management and you need to sign
in with your Amazon account
then I'm going to click continue to
security credentials and then here we go
now you may get asked for a credit card
when you sign up for Amazon AWS and it's
going to mention charges but generally
using the Amazon advertising API is free
so providing that you earn a little bit
of commission there should be a charge
now I've never been charged Travers and
Adrienne I'm not heard of anyone that
has so you should be fine
don't worry about it it's just taking a
credit card for security and that sort
of thing but you won't be charged anyway
what we need for our website is the
access keys which are right here so I
click on this little plus now I already
got some set up and you can only have
two at any one time so I'm just going to
delete this one like that and then I'm
going to click create new access key or
so if you've got use before you just can
be creating a new one so let's do it now
here we go it's done click here to show
the access key and there it is and
that's what we need to copy and paste in
to our window setting so let's copy that
first pick the access key ID p-- put
that in there
the next we need the secret access key
which is there that's done next is our
affiliate ids you need to enter one for
each of the stores you can promoting and
so you need to sign up for each of the
individual sites so you're going to get
an ID from amazon.com you new site there
to get your ID from Amazon look like you
care you need to sign up there so I just
need to enter the UK one because that's
the only products are going to be
promoting so I'm going to go back to
Amazon you click on associates program
click login
and then click sign in there we go click
get started so I've got my ID up here
and you can create new ones for each
site you're going to run it kind of
makes it easier in terms of knowing
which sites are generating you your
income so I'm going to create a new one
to do that I'm going to click up here on
my dress and go to manage your tracking
IDs I'm going to click add tracking ID
and it call it beer shirts and then
create it so it's created successfully
now I'll just copy that into my
clipboard close that go back to blue
then I'm going to paste that in just
like that they're all good so let's just
go down select the main affiliate ID
it's going to be UK if I click check you
should see if it's all working again
message yeah I was able to connect
Amazon perfect let's click Save Settings
now if you get an error message at this
point it could be because you need to
enable the advertising API so let me
show how to do that let's go back to
Amazon under tools you've got this
product advertising API give that a
click and this is button over here that
says sign up now click that and then log
in I'm already signed up so I don't need
to do it but yeah login in as a couple
of forms you got to fill in very simple
forms go through them and then once
that's all done you should be able to
connect all fine from your Woo's own
site so let's go back okay so we're now
ready to start importing our products
from Amazon now I'm going to put a few
products to start with and before we
even start laying out the site or
anything like that I'm aware that you
haven't seen what the website looks like
just yet we can have a go let's kind of
look at look I'll show you if you go to
the front of the site
it's like this just the very basic
WordPress theme and nothing to look at
really so I tell you what I want to do
is download the products from Amazon
least a few of them then what we'll do
is we'll get the theme which is what's
going to give our website the look and
feel that we want and then we'll start
laying stuff out we'll put the products
on make sure they were looking nice and
add a logo and all that sort of stuff
and it will really start to come
together very soon so I said I think now
is a good time to download a few
products and let me show you how to do
that and we go into dashboard now you've
