in this video I want to talk about five
ways that you can generate some traffic
to your affiliate marketing website
probably an Amazon affiliate marketing
website that maybe you set up by what
you want to eye tutorials I get a lot of
questions for people saying I've created
my site and I need a graphic now I have
obviously covered this a few times
previously on my channel and I will be
referencing some of those videos from
this video but I thought I'd condense it
down give you five tips quick as I can
get you guys going so let's go hello
it's alex here from WP eagle thanks for
watching you may notice I've got a new
light is it cool not I like it but
about getting traffic to your Amazon
affiliate website or your kind of
affiliate site in general really these
tips will apply to whatever affiliate
site you happen to be running so let's
get straight on with the first tip okay
the first tip is SEO so SEO stands for
search engine optimization and it's
basically just making sure that when
Google comes and visits your site it can
read it properly and it knows what your
site is about and all the keywords and
everything that you're trying to rank
for are all in the right places now
there are a number of videos on my
channel all about SEO and optimizing
your site but basically what you need to
do if you're running WordPress which you
probably are is install the Yoast SEO
plug-in this allows you to optimize your
posts your pages and products changing
page titles and stuff like that but to
be fair out the box it does for most
optimization anyway so you don't
actually have to mess with too much the
other thing it does is it creates an XML
sitemap which is basically a document
that you can submit to Google it tells
Google exactly all the kind of pages and
products and stuff that you've got on
your site again I've got some videos on
how to do all this on the channel
anything I talked about I will link to
down below in the description so be sure
to check that out but yeah you generate
your sitemap and then you go over to
Google Webmaster Tools and submit it and
that can really help get your site
indexed by Google the next
it and that's following on from SEO is
content you need to create lots of
content and you know you need some stuff
to optimize to start with so when I'm
talking about content I'm talking about
articles and videos and all that sort of
stuff and not just rubbish articles and
videos stuff that adds real value so you
know if you advertising products or
maybe you have got an Amazon affiliate
website you need to create some reviews
or maybe even lists you know the top ten
best what Evers and kind of add some
real useful information people really
need help when the shopping hello Amazon
you might as well go there and you can
find stuff but it's such a big website
and by helping people find the best
stuff you are adding some value and
people will come to your site and people
will click for your links and you will
earn some Commission so don't just turn
out any rubbish content try and rethink
about how you can create an excellent
piece of content that's going to add
some real value and people are actually
going to you know wanna come visit want
to read and you know you're going to
help people make a purchase now this
leads on to point number three which is
social media once you've created your
great content I've just spoke about your
reviews or your lists or your how to's
or whatever you're going to do you then
need to get that out to the world and
the best way to do that is via social
media so I'm talking about Facebook page
Twitter account Pinterest Instagram all
that sort of stuff and use those
platforms to then share the content that
you just created that I mentioned in
point two so that makes sense so you
create your content and then you can
share it out on your social media and of
course you can use your social media to
offer other bits of advice and little
tidbits and whatever when you're not got
any content to share it's a great way of
driving people back to your website my
fourth tip is paid advertising now you
just be careful with paid ads and
affiliate sites because what can happen
is you can end up spending a lot of
money and not earning much commission so
you need to make sure that you're going
to get the most value out of the money
you going to be spending on your paid
advertising so my advice on is don't go
over to Google Adwords or anything like
that and start sending people straight
to your website and then from your
website they then go straight off to
Amazon or wherever and then become a
customer Amazon you need to capture them
somewhere kind of in between before they
go off to Amazon or wherever to make
that
so I would recommend if you've got a
small bit of advertising money to spend
it hopefully you know you can take a
little risk and spend a few pounds or
dollars or whatever on some advertising
is you start with Facebook advertising
you create your Facebook page which is
hopefully what you've just done because
I just told you to in point free you
create your Facebook page then use
Facebook advertising to build the likes
up on that page so Facebook advertising
is really great because you can be very
targeted so say if you don't you've got
a sports-related as an affiliate website
you could target people of a certain age
that are into certain sports that are in
a certain location and you could then
drive them to your Facebook page and
they obviously hopefully like it you
will need to obviously add a little bit
of content to your page in order to get
it going and once you've done that we'll
go to a page they will hopefully then
like it and then you've got the
opportunity to re-engage with those
people at time after time so you're
going to get some value out of that
money that you spent with Facebook so
you know you get up to 100 likes or
whatever or a thousand likes or whatever
numbers you want to go to you could then
when you were writing your content as
already mentioned you can then share
that content to those people over and
over again
and get some value from them my fifth
and final tip for today's videos I seem
to be kind of going really faster than I
think I had w coffee this morning but
hey my fifth tip is guest posts so this
is where you're going to create some
content for someone else's blog or
someone else's website and this is a
great way to get a link back to your
site which is good for SEO which is one
point one but it's also great we're
getting traffic from these other sites
so you need to come up with some great
articles or whatever that you're not
going to put on your site but you can
upon someone else's site and then you
need to find someone those looking for
articles and one way you can do this is
say for example I wanted to do a guest
post all around women's boots for my
boot boutique website I might go over to
google and type in ladies fashion or
women's fashion and then I'm going to
put a little speech marks and put right
for us and then switch months and what
Google will do is it'll go off and it
will find all the site there about
women's fashion or ladies fashion and
that have a link you know where they're
asking people to write for them and then
I can actually fill in the forms and say
hey I've got a great article you might
like it do you want to use it and if
they do instead I get the link and
hopefully get some track
well that's the end of this video I'm
exhausted
