your questions this evening got a few

other things to talk about

few things we want to talk about tonight

good talk about Black Friday it's a big

event and it's a big event of commercial

activity isn't it everybody's got a sale

on everyone's buying stuff and now being

from the UK I don't know much about that

Friday but I think it's around our

Thanksgiving sort of celebration thing

isn't it it's through Thanksgiving but

now the rest of the world seems to have

adopted it and it seems to be the day

where everyone seems to do their

Christmas shopping and of course has an

affiliate it's a good time to take

advantage of everyone spending loads of

money and try and get them to click on

your link before they able to go off and

make a purchase from Amazon or somewhere

else so let's jump straight into it

let's do it at the beginning of the

stream that way people that are watching

on catch up or after the event

don't have to kind of skip through loads

of of us chatting about stuff to get to

what is that sure about so to complement

tonight's stream and I'll be sharing on

social media straight after tonight's

stream and I could do that because I've

already put it into buffer being

organized you see we have a article over

on wpeo calm

that's called Black Friday affiliate

tips and yeah it's not a video it's an

actual blog post with words and

everything I mean I could probably turn

it over here but I didn't actually have

time um so that's what we're doing now

so yeah I put together an article with

the help of my assistant Lucy and my

writer and generally achieve helper

actually wrote most of it to be fair but

yeah we're gonna go for it tonight and

share some tips in terms of getting some

commission over this Black Friday time

hope you all got your tea or coffee or

beer wine what are we drinking right so

I'm gonna go through that and then I'll

come through all your no go through all

your your questions in the chat so I

mean when it comes to black funny I mean

I may be a little bit late and date to

be fair because I'm gonna tell you that

you need to create some content and

stuff like that which is you know gonna

take a lot of time and you only got a

couple days with you know lemon white

you can keep it in your mind for next

year or maybe you can work really quick

and get some stuff done

I'm and then we're gonna just cover some

other basic stuff that you should do

anyway but it's a good you know Black

Friday is a good time to do it anyway so

content you can do Black Friday focus

content and that could just be a roundup

sort of post I mean that's the most

obvious thing as I said a lot of

companies are doing Black Friday all

this week so that means that on Monday

or even today or tomorrow whenever

you've got the opportunity to go on to

Amazon for example and go in to products

around your niche or your niche if

you're in America and find out which

ones I've got good deals on for Black

Friday but then compile them into a

useful post so maybe you're in the dog

niche I want to put screensaver on over

here come on screensaver

there we go yes maybe here in the dog

nish like I am I'm in a dog technology

niche and one of my starts to be

specific and then I would go to Amazon

and I would find all the great black for

love deals and then create a blog post

about them and I've seen maybe do a

little bit reviews or whatever around

the products but it's generally gonna be

a sort of a list sort of post which

quite easy to write generally again you

are gonna want aim for you know fifteen

hundred words maybe some of that and

then of course share the post on social

media and you wait the other thing you

can do if you're running a Woo's own

site is you could possibly create a

temporary category it's not like that

called Black Friday and then you could

move all of your products into all the

products that are in the Black Friday I

said of course internet category

obviously a product can be more than one

category so you'd have to take it out of

the category that it's already in now of

course you're gonna need to make sure

that your wasone is up-to-date and that

it's synchronized with Amazon and all

that kind of stuff and so the prices are

all correct you can force a sync with

Amazon if you go into the

synchronization settings you can you can

do that so you make sure of so your site

is already and all the products are up

to date and they're all shown there like

prices and they've got the Black Friday

price on there that's gonna be a big

thing you know make sure that they're

not full price otherwise no one's going

to click through once you've done that

once you've got your maybe you've done

with some content where you're listing

off your Black Friday deals in your

particular niche and you made sure that

all your blues own products and

everything are synchronized and up to

date

you're then ready to go and spread the

word now you're gonna want to do that in

the usual way you know the usual ways

hopefully you've built some sort of

email list if you haven't and that

something that you need to do and I've

talked about this in previous videos the

building email list is really a central

part of becoming a successful affiliate

so maybe you're offering something for

free a guide something like that to

build rimless or if using wujin you can

try and capture an email address before

they go off to Amazon but that doesn't

always work so well the best way really

is to offer something of value then have

a pop-up or a banner or some other

promoting that and obviously in order to

get that thing of value people have to

join your mailing list so if you got

mainly this you can obviously use that

to publicize the Black Friday deals and

you're gonna want to link back to your

site ideally I think Amazon are a little

bit funny if you put Amazon links and

directly into email so don't do that

social media again use social media have

you built up a Facebook page maybe your

Twitter following maybe a Pinterest

maybe something else maybe Instagram I

don't know again use social media to

drive people to your Black Friday

content on your site SEO is a good way

of getting some traffic around this

though it might be too late in the day

for that but obviously you'd have

optimized your Black Friday content

following my SEO tips maybe using Yoast

SEO plug-in the other thing of course

you could do is maybe try some paid ads

if you're running your article promotes

particular high value stuffed and that

could work though you know advertising

around this time of year is pretty

competitive so you're gonna want to keep

a close eye on the spend on that the

other thing the next thing you don't

wanna check is your actual website

yourself so onto your content and the

products are all up to date just double

check everything is working okay on your

site check that your site is redirecting

to Amazon for example if you're running

a root on site check that your affiliate

links are okay check the asite is nice

and fast and that's something I'm gonna

go on to hopefully in tonight's stream

that's if gas lets me guys have been in

touch and let me and asked me to have a

look at its site which is where it's

slow and I would love to do it live

tonight but I've seen any gathers

permission on that gas if you're still

there in the chat then yeah

little bit about that fry so you make

sure that your site is working and it's

technically good as fast links are

working all the rest of it possibly

update your homepage your slider to

promote Black Friday so maybe make your

first slide a nice Black Friday slide

link through to your Black Friday

content your blog posts around the best

Black Friday for products that kind of

thing that's a good way to you know just

update your site and make it nice and

Black Friday ready and obviously

remember to take it down after bit funny

and obviously make sure you're ready for

a spike in traffic I mean I don't know

if that's gonna happen to many of you I

don't you never know if something if you

know something becomes popular people

start sharing it then you might start

getting more traffic than you usually do

and in general there's more traffic

around the shopping sites at this time

of year so just make sure you ready it

to be fair if you're with any of the

reasonable hostgator hosting companies

including house gates or any of those

you should be fine and finally I just

said you just keep checking your site

just make sure everything works check it

on your phone check it on your iPad or

on your tablet and check out on your

pewter and just make sure everything is

good so all those tips I've just kind of

reeled off in a very quick fashion

you've got is a number of your products

are variable products and what it will

do is it will generally take the

cheapest price to put on your product so

that's why you can sometimes get a

discrepancy I wouldn't worry too much

about it and it's also a limitation of

kind of some of the more basic hosting

the cron jobs which is what it's used to

synchronize every night don't always run

so you can always force the

synchronization but if the price is just

slightly out don't worry too much right

said it was gonna be a two hosting and

literally it was like that but then the

other day I was checking the sites and I

went to the a2 hosting site and it had a

server 500 error which is generally just

a general hosting problem that clears up

with a bit of time but yeah that may be

just amazing

okay I'll gonna put SiteGround as the

thing that's the number one they are

both really very similar in terms of the

features and the price and the

performance and all that stuff so either

one is good but yeah have you read it

did you like it now of C slight issue

that I had is that in all my previous

videos as you guys know and as I've

recommended to you a number of times I

used to recommend Hostgator and I still

would recommend Hostgator but after

doing all this research and testing for

like 30 days and buying all those

different hosting packages and setting

up the site on all the different

please I learned a lot and I learned

that you know there is better than

hostgator so well you know there you go

going forward I will be recommending

SiteGround and a2 hosting I also learnt

another thing you know I used to love WP

engine which I've got tons of sites on

for clients and all that kind of stuff

and again they did not come out as well

as I thought they would so I learned a

lot from doing it and I hope you guys

learn a lot from reading it and watching

the video and all that kind of stuff but

there you go

Stephanie says what about cyber monday

tuesday difference no I mean you just

write another piece of content around

cyber monday as you would around Black

Friday I don't think cyber monday such a

big thing it's all about Black Friday

which Black Friday used to be a kind of

offline retail thing I remember seeing

all those videos of people you know

queueing up and then fighting each other

to get into shops to get a cheap telly

that kind of stuff so that was Black

Friday and Cyber Monday was supposed to

be the same thing but online but now it

seems that the online retailers have

also just taken over Black Friday

Firmin struggling to get sales sorry to

hear that and it says did you add old

band t-shirts to your site than

advertising it all week away - no what

do you mean I don't you mean so we'll

have phrases I'm new to affiliate

marketing aren't know where I can find

networks that would be welcoming to new

beginners with no experience in the

field um most networks will accept you

even if you've got no experience at all

and you know when you're saying that

works your remaining things like

Clickbank Commission Junction Affiliate

window I'm just trying to think of some

what's on my head

and of course Amazon which is not really

an it work it's just a big retailer and

that's the thing and many retailers you

can just approach and just scroll down

to the bottom of the site go to the

footer click on affiliates and then you

know just sign up and they generally

don't want any you know they have to

prove that you've got any experience or

anything like that you just generally

need to have a website and possibly

they'll ask you you know what you think

of doing that's about it but yeah don't

worry anyone experienced most will

accept you anyway

yeah I guess I can see you guys talking

good FAQ plug-in I haven't actually used

an FAQ plug-in for quite some time

generally a lot of themes kind of have

something that's suitable if you've got

an accordion really built into your

theme that generally works really well

to create fa Q's but yeah I should I'll

make a little note of that and see if I

can check out some FAQ plugins in the

near future

well this is taking ages there's

do to help you and if they don't help

you then you could always move to

someone else maybe they've kind of put

you on a dodgy server or something I

I've run Google Adwords and Facebook ads

it's a new site to get that far it

sounds quite difficult really works best

if you've got a built up community email

list that kind of thing if you haven't

then it's gonna be maybe running some

ads that kind of thing you don't have a

lot more choice Herman says have you

tried to Lightspeed cache plugin

I haven't Kevin's back says that is one

small room it is possibly the smallest

room in my town it's cozy it's nice and

warm as Tommy because it's freezing

outside yeah Carl is just as I mentioned

earlier check out the income school

video it's really good and where they

help out that good in fact all their

videos are good I highly recommend that

you check out their Channel

I'm just trying to read or your

questions are some America could use

have an FAQ block whole section or

something like that

could be a memory issue yeah talking

about cloud site but I think probably

let me just have a look at the status I

might be able to tell you what you need

to do one of its ages let's give that

so no it's not a memory issue and the

memory is set to two five six so that

might be too much I don't know yeah too

much sometimes you can have too much

what under 28 meg is fine

generally all the rest seems okay

gasps this is really what I wanted to

check in your hosting control panel I

think your main problem is gonna be and

this is a tip for everyone out there

that has got a slow site running

WordPress and lose owner and WooCommerce

the biggest thing that you can do to get

instant performance improvement is to

change your PHP version and to do this I

was hopefully going to show you by

logging in time skater but as we can

figure out passwords then never mind

I'll just tell you what you need to do

so I can see within your your WordPress

status thing you would call my status

where it gives you a whole list of

everything that's going on inside see

that your PHP version is five point six

point three zero which is quite an old

version now the version that we're all

running or division that you should be

running now is seven point two which

will give you up to possibly a 40%

performance increase and everything will

just run better so if you're with

Hostgator and this applies to many other

so i've got an itchy you wonder what I'm

doing there you log in to Hostgator log

in to your control panel scroll down

look for a little icon that says PHP

selector top my head I think that's what

it's called PHP selector and then in

there you can choose a version of of PHP

now I think Hostgator supports 7.2 if

they don't then go for 7.1 but I think

some point two is supported because

that's going to be the only proper

version of PHP going forward I think

after next month so everyone's gonna

have to start wearing a 7.2 if that's a

lot of hosts might just to update your

site automatically which will be fine

which make your site run faster but some

plugins themes older plugins and themes

may not work with it so yet get that

performance boost log into your

Hostgator control panel go to PHP

selector change PHP version to 7.2 if

you can

and the same applies to other hosts log

into your trough I don't look for

something that says PHP version PHP

sector and gives you an option if

there's no way of you doing it within

your control panel then made a ticket

with your host and say I want to be on

PHP 7.2 please and they should be able

to help you out I know for example a WP

engine and moving all of their client

sites to 10.2 next month it's gonna give

some people a headache I think probably

okay so yeah that'd be it for now guess

ok control panel login change PHP

version let me know if and that's

improve your site transitions I'm gonna

go for about another 10-15 minutes so

get your questions in let's say we can

answer all of them before I've got to go

um Antony says I thought you couldn't

use Amazon logo anything that's not cool

put their logo and say Amazon they love

pay quite a bit of money for your

hosting and you want absolutely you know

number one performance then VPS is

pretty few their Amazon powered and they

are blisteringly fast and yes if you

want a whole server to yourself that's

fine obviously it is more than shared

hosting in terms of cost the other way

we're doing it is possibly by sharing a

VPS server between you guys and rather

than having a shared server like with

Hostgator or any other hosting companies

where

you know hundreds and thousands of sites

on one server will limit it to like 20

or 30 sites on a server so we won't

affect performance or degrade

performance in any way so if you're

interested in that

many sites you got that kind of stuff

very new for me this but I'm hoping it's

thought about this and I thought that

sounded interesting that could be good

but I wasn't confident enough in

recommending text bullet for example and

it possibly any of the other companies

because the content is a bit hit and

miss so and then we are offering a

content service and it's gonna be a very

premium content writing service so we're

gonna do absolutely everything we're

gonna create your content we could

possibly even research the content for

you as well and then we'll create the

content we will add it to your WordPress

website we will format it so that it

looks really nice we will research the

products and we will link to other

products with your affiliate links or

link to the products on your site if

using moody on whichever you prefer

will do all the product comparison

tables and you know we'll just make a

really really nice Finnick content bit

of a filler content for your site so

we're just kind of finessing the details

on this service until the tool have done

that then I'm sure I can't give you any

more details I don't know exactly in

terms of pricing or anything like that

just yet but I've got a feeling that

that might be something you guys are

interested in let me know in the chat if

you are interested and you think that

might be something you might be wanting

and say it's gonna be premium so it's

probably more expensive than you know

what you've been paying writers for

example but you know when you pay a

writer you just get a word

and generally then you have to add your

own links and do your own research for

products you know do all the formatting

at the tables whatever else it needs and

then publish it yourself so we're gonna

take away all that and just do it all
