and buckle up because I'm gonna be
breaking down how to properly DM and
network with people on social media so
you can grow or start a business online
and I know there's gonna be the odd
person or a couple of you who do not
direct messaging and this is our way as
entrepreneurs to connect and build trust
with people when you learn how to
actually do it properly to eventually
make sales from our products and
services in our business we use it as a
way to connect with influencers big
companies small companies independent
entrepreneurs and that is what we do oh
my god now before we actually dive into
a live example here I break down exactly
what you guys need to do to actually be
successful with this we need to know
what not to do alright which is don't
leave multiple comments on people's
Instagram and Facebook which are the two
social media platforms we're gonna be
breaking down how to use properly today
and god forbid do not go back on
people's Instagram history or Facebook
history post and go start liking things
from 3-4 years ago that's just creepy
and that's gonna get you a headline on
MSNBC and our goal is not to get a
headline on MSNBC alright that's not
that's not what you're aiming for here
now the second thing I'm gonna mention
not to do this one just it takes the
icing on the cake and it is exactly what
this guy did to me alright look at
Pierre look at the message he sent me
this is on facebook messenger all right
by the way I don't know who he is I've
never heard of him before he hit me up
this is the first message he sent me
this is spam 101 and there are still
people out there today in 2018 and last
year in 2017 who are still doing this
and I honestly
Badman I really I don't understand just
why why please guys don't be like Pierre
so what can you do to actually be
successful when it comes to networking
and DME people well we're gonna go to
Instagram and we're gonna search through
hashtags that are trending like yoga
meditation health and fitness business
real estate anything that's got a lot of
posts in it now from there what we're
gonna pay attention to is all the
pictures so top posts which are going to
be the first nine pictures on the
explore page those are typically going
to be done by people who have influence
and big followings and we're also going
to pay attention to the most recent
pictures because that could possibly be
a small business owner and independent
entrepreneur and they might need help
growing out their business and we can
potentially help them out now the third
thing that we're doing is we're clicking
on a picture and we're analyzing and
breaking down people's profiles we're
looking at how big their following is
how small their following is do they
link back to a website if they link back
to a website are they selling any
products on their website because from
that the next level is direct messaging
them all right and when it comes to
direct messaging what you want to do is
you want to do a little bit of foreplay
first not in the kinky way all right
guys get your head out of the gutter
what we do is we leave a like on their
profile one of their pictures already to
indicate to them we like their content
it's kind of like think of it this way
if you want to go and date a girl online
or date a boy online I don't know
whoever's watching this video what you
want to do is not go back like three
years ago and start liking and comments
you know in all of their pictures again
that's creepy that's definitely going to
get your ass blocked immediately what
you want to do is you want to show
interest you want to play a little bit
you want to tease a little bit so we do
the exact same thing in business when
we're networking with people we leave a
like on a picture and then immediately
they're like oh this person actually
likes my stuff they enjoy my stuff and
then we leave a direct message after
that because we're coming of a place of
value we're gonna be able to gain this
person's trust very easily which will
allow us to market and grow our business
all right and if this still doesn't make
some sense to you guys you're a little
bit fuzzy that's okay I've got your back
so let's throw up Instagram on the
screen right now here is a example I
found an influencer this guy's profile
is called Canadian Wood Werks he's got
two hundred and ninety eight thousand
followers a quarter of a million people
and if we look he's got a Shopify store
need look at the Shopify store it looks
kind of like and he's got a lot of
listings on it that have absolutely no
this indicates to me that this guy is
probably not making sales his Shopify
store looks like garbage he doesn't know
how to monetize his 298 thousand
followers so I can hit this guy off I
could be like hey Canadian Works would
love to connect with you I personally
work one-on-one with independent
business owners and entrepreneurs and
I've been able to proven Lee 5x and 10x
people as ROI zone and I can redesign
your website to increase your
conversions I will actually do it for
you for free for the first 30 days now
what's also cool with this strategy is I
could approach it as an affiliate so if
you want to just get started in
affiliate marketing
I could be an affiliate with VIP with
this Instagram influencer because he's
got the traffic we don't have to run
paid ads or any type of marketing to it
he's got the audience he just doesn't
know how to monetize it so if I can help
him monetize it another way I can come
up with an opportunity for both of us
but give him value first is I can
redesign his a whole website for him
which will help him get more conversions
on his site which means more sales and
then what I could do is I can negotiate
with him if he likes that for free after
30 days or after 60 days I could say hey
man if you really enjoy it and you like
my services that I offer and you see
value in it I'd love to work out a deal
with you or maybe you we can split the
commissions 50/50 all right off of each
sale that you make let's move on to
example in the Merrill deuce and this is
gonna be around like let's say something
hot again like yoga I love yoga really
don't never tried it but maybe I will
one day I found somebody his name is
Adam whiting yoga he's got nine thousand
two hundred and thirty eight followers
and what you want to do with this
strategy right here is you want to use a
little tool called sociably the reason
for this is the approach we could take
with this person is to help gain the
more followers help market for them you
can see this guy is getting a total of
586 followers every 30 days that's not a
lot of people it's not consistently
every day he's gaining followers which
is not a good sign here's how I would
approach him I would hit him up in
direct message on send him a message
saying hey Adam wedding love your dog
the dog is cute and also love what
you're doing on Instagram really awesome
pictures we'd love to connect with you
or we'd love to give you more value
notice also you're gaining about 500 new
followers on Instagram every single
month I would love to help you out for
free and market on your behalf for the
next 60 to 90 days to take your
followers from 9200 to over 25,000
followers or
I'll do it absolutely free for you there
will be no BOTS to help you increase
your ticket sales for that festival
coming up this summer if you're
interested let me know now the cool
thing is after you do this for this
person after 90 days and this can be for
any niche not just yoga what you can
then do is you can offer them you know a
product and service ok it could be an
affiliate product it could be maybe your
own consulting services around marketing
and they're gonna be more than open to
taking a look at that offer because
you've helped them grow their Instagram
you've helped them go from 9,000 to
25,000 in 90 days make more ticket sales
and they're gonna love you hey guys this
is the voice of God
no I'm just kidding this is me editing
the video and this is the ripple effect
so once you get one person to want to do
this business partnership with you where
you market for them for like three
months for free right what's going to
happen is that's going to give you a
testimonial that you can then leverage
for the next person you connect with and
the next person you connect with and
you'll add up all these testimonials to
where people will just want to buy
services from you eventually so think
about that outside the box type thinking
man now let's move on to another example
let's talk about product placement let's
say I'm coming out with a new vegan
recipe or some new vegan cooking
utensils I could hit up vegan recipes
calm because she's got a follower base
she's got the influencer already and do
kind of the same thing that I mentioned
in my last video I uploaded on my
channel I can go to Aliexpress find a
product that's really cheap like this
like it bro it would be an even cooler
approach is if you could find a cookbook
that's fairly cheap that you could ship
out to her more than likely when she
gets it she's gonna cook a recipe from
it and she might possibly take our
Instagram and at which we want to make
sure if she does take our Instagram we
already have our Instagram and it's on
deck it's already prepared our Instagram
is already looking professional and
maybe you're somebody who's promoting an
affiliate product well what we could do
is we could link back in our Instagram
profile to a capture page that promotes
our affiliate product so when people
come from her Instagram when she takes a
picture of one of the recipes she made
from our cookbook we sent her that come
to our profile they'll see a link and it
won't be straight to a sales page it'll
be to a capture page person if you don't
remember what a capture pages
something like this would you direct
message and network with people on
Facebook what you are not doing is
you're not going to Facebook groups
adding yourself there then commenting
and adding people as friends and you
know messaging random people within that
group trying to be their best friend
meanwhile they all know you're gonna try
and pitch them you know meant the exact
same formula so here is a vegan Facebook
page it's called vegan recipes they have
half a million followers and you can see
she's linking back to a website in
pretty much every single one of her
posts here so let's go check out what
that website looks like oh my god it
looks like look at this look at the
email INBOX damn girl you are doing a
bad job I'm just gonna be blunt with you
this is not a good looking website I
would hit up vegan recipes I'd look hey
I love the content you're posting on
Facebook I checked out your website and
I noticed it's not up to date with 2018
standards and you can easily increase
your email opt-in rates on that little
opt-in box on your website by 50% by
doing a simple redesign of the site and
actually I would love to redesign your
site completely free for you I'll do it
for 60 days it won't cost you a dime and
if you like the results that happen
after 60 days if you get more email
opt-ins if you sell more of your
products you get more engagement on your
site I only charge services that cost
$50 a month thereafter alright but you
don't let her know that you you charge
services until that 60th day comes up
okay because you want to build trust
first you don't want to just take them
up you're like hey I'll give you this
for free but then after I'm gonna charge
you let's move on through something a
little bit different let's say you are a
traditional business owner and you're so

marketing to grow your business I don't
blame you prospecting local business
owners people at 7-eleven that was your
boy right here what we can do is we can
search our local city so let's use
Chicago I'll throw it up on the screen
here over 30 million posts holy crap if
I am somebody who is a restaurant owner
a barber I want to connect with people
and this is very simple who are posting
the most recent pictures because if we
can find a picture like this this is
somebody posting a most recent picture
this is just your average Joe working at
the gym in Chicago Illinois and chances
are his followers that are following him
are friends and family who also live in
Chicago Illinois so what I can do is I
can hit him up and if I want a
restaurant I keep like hey Joshua I see
you flexing on those ladies
haters keep it up dude if you're ever in
the area of sy and Z Street let me know
and I'll give you a free appetizer or
free meal at our restaurant it will be
completely on us no gimmicks no hidden
fees and just let me know if you're
interested we're giving them value and
what this does you might be like oh my
god Brando but I'm giving a free meal
I'm gonna lose money no these are people
who are active on Instagram these are
people who are active on social media so
chances are he's gonna want to accept
that he's gonna want to come on down
check out the restaurant he's gonna get
this free appetizer or free meal get
that person there they take a picture of
their appetizers they share their
experience with their followers which
are locals and next thing you know
they're falling wants to come check it
out - now you've created this viral
growth in the community of people coming
on down to your restaurant which is
going to increase your business growth
and actually make you more sales just
thinking on a different level by what
can you bring to the table what can you
offer that's it that's all okay and what
happens is out of a hundred people you
message they'll probably be about 5 or
15 people that will accept this offer
and they'll come on down to your hair
cut salon or a barber shop and they'll
accept it they'll take a picture of
their cut after because these are people
active on Instagram they'll share it
with they're following their following
will want to come down to your store -
