actually close enough driving down twice

I've been doing a bunch of like 15
minute calls with people and that's
because I did this little marketing
experiment promotion experiment last
week where I sent an email out to my
email list and said hey if you comment
on Noah Kagan's video this particular
video put it in this sort of format I'll
do a free 15-minute call you in like 30
or so people did that so needless to say
Noah you know he and I who exchanged a
little correspondent I mean
correspondents in the past via Twitter
and a couple emails just follow him
since I started online and I basically
he knows who I am exactly he knows
exactly who I am now because you know on
most of his videos he gets maybe I don't
know a few a few dozen or best too many
maybe a dozen comments maybe up to like
20 or 30 for some of the more popular
ones and a lot of times the video views
varies some take off some do not but in
this particular case I think he now has
like over a hundred and twenty comments
or so on that video and a good chunk of
them a third of them or so like mention
my name so that's kind of crazy
and hopefully there'll be more on that
coming up again if you have questions

Mohammed um so Mohammed says how many
niche sites am i running like three so
I'm not actually that leads me into a
tangent this is why these sessions go so
long it's my own fault so I've been
getting a lot of questions and seeing a
lot of people ask questions like hey I'm
glad I found your site and you know I
need help getting traffic to my niche
sites I have ten of them and I'm
thinking to myself you should focus on
one and learn the ropes learn the
process figure out what works you'll
learn what does not work which is just
as important but the worst thing you can
do in Mohammed by the way I'm not saying
you're doing this it just it's triggered
something in my mind so personally I
just have like two sites and I generally
focus on like one of them at a time
it's just how I work so you
thing is if you do want to have a
portfolio of sites you must focus on one
get it successful and then move on to
the next and so on what you should not
do is start like one or two or three or
ten sites and like do all the work sort
of in parallel because what will happen
is you're gonna make mistakes you're
gonna repeat your mistake like ten times
and then you're gonna have to go fix it
ten times if you don't give up which
most people give up the thing you want
to do is do like implement one site
you'll make some mistakes and then
you'll figure out what not to do on your
second site you'll make fewer mistakes
maybe you'll make some different ones
but you'll get better on the third site
your get a little better and so on so on
the tenth site you kind of have it like
I mean you have your system dammit you
know what you're doing you know what to
expect and you know what to do and you
you're not as frustrated because you're
like oh you could look back and you
could see you actually didn't like make
as many mistakes and you're actually
getting better that's why for example
Rob Atkinson one of my friends he's on
several the coaching calls and you may
have seen like he like knew how to do
niche sites and he was growing his
portfolio and he was implementing
systems and he was able to refine the
system in like customize it for himself
I mean you can get all those templates
that Rob used and they've evolved over
time because it's a constant improvement
process here okay long answer to a short
question the answers three pastor Dube
says in my experience when posting a
keyword golden ratio article how long
does it take it to go from its original
ranking to its final ranking while
there's no final ranking so it's kind of
a trick question
it can take up to a year though so I can
tell you a lot of the content that I'm
published like over a year ago I'm like
I'm seeing more of an increase in
traffic which I believe either its
movement in rankings or more longtail
keywords coming in and pasture further

shorter content like a max of 800 words
because of mobile certain preference
what are my insights this is the first
time that I've ever heard that and I am
unsure I have no opinion on it other
than I don't write like I don't publish
anything that is shorter than 800 so I'm

for it but I have not seen any

amount of content that maybe wasn't
monetized that well and maybe you know
pay a decent chunk of money for it and
then turn it into an affiliate site and

his site is 2.5 months old and yes
you're doing link building so yeah just
keep going with the plan in about 6
months you should see I mean it's a
steady slow growth and then once you get
out of the sandbox oftentimes things
will change a lot more dramatically all

it out but the bulb is like as big as

bulbs
it's like these upside-down umbrellas
that are like covered with foil it's
like a photo like if you recall you
think about like a portrait studio or
whatever is those big light boxes so

mesh thing over the front super-bright
and the thing is I mean it only took
maybe five or six minutes to set up or
so and it was so much easier to shoot my
video yesterday it was way easier and I
mean some days when it's cloudy it's
really hard to get the light and I have
a few big windows but depends on the
time of day it depends on if there's
cloud cover
it could change while you're shooting
which is not cool but this light kit I
mean it was only like 45 bucks or so so
I don't know why I was waiting because I
have a couple like smaller like desk
lamps and different lamps that I would
move around and it would get like big
you know what I thought were big 100
watt equivalent bulbs instead of these
like 400 watt equivalent and I don't
know what I was wasting my time for cuz
you know setting up small desk lamps and
moving things around it's just a huge
waste of time but I guess I wasn't sure
if I was gonna be doing a lot of video
which I am going to be so basically the
light kit was a great investment

till you begin building backlinks it's
my articles after you publish them if
I'm doing virtually no time right I mean
it depends on what stage of the process
you're in if you're starting a new site
and you're publishing like ten pieces of
content to get started as soon as you
publish the ten go ahead and start link
building if I'm publishing kgr content I
really don't do any link building I just
publish them and then interlink
throughout the site but I mean really
there's no I mean you could publish
something sort you know I mean you can
start promotion and link building and
the process of getting links before you
even publish the content I mean if

a piece of content you can actually
start networking before you even publish

intrigued how archive pages are indexed
when sometimes the post itself isn't

words on it because like every post is

should solve your problem so simple just

any forums in your niche and see what is
in the forums I lean on the idea of the

but there's so much information and
content there I mean literally you've
never run out of questions to ask and
things to answer and articles to write

how do you motivate yourself what's your
all-time favorite movie
what's my weekend plan okay I don't
motivate myself I think usually if I'm
like focusing really hard on a thing

intrinsically like I'm satisfied with it
so yesterday I shot it I got the
lighting kit right I shot a video I had
been working on the script which was
only a thousand words like all week long

did 12 hours of work yesterday about 10
of it was probably solely on the video
so I just kind of when I put my head
down like I could really focus now I'll
back up and say the two to three weeks
before that was a scattered massive
me not being sure what to work on and
you probably saw that in some of my
videos and some of these live streams
specifically where I was like I'm not
sure what to work on so there is a
period of scattered just shotgun massive
like not much getting done a lot of
busyness but not a lot of work getting
done and then it's followed by something
very specific that I work on and that
but I guess that motivates me that
portion where I know that I'm getting
something done motivates me all-time
favorite movie I'm gonna say too so I
really like office space and there's a
movie called forgetting sarah marshall
with Jason Segel and Kristen Bell Mila
Kunis I think and trying to think who
else is in there but anyway great movie
came out in 2007 and I don't think that
was that huge but I don't know it's
awesome it's pretty funny I think we saw
it a couple of years after it came out
but we went to Hawaii a few years back
really enjoyed it so it's a nice memory
like to watch in the winter here in
Montana cuz there's like a foot of snow
on the ground for like a few months so
you know watching the data you know
Hawaiian setting is pretty nice and we
can plant we go hiking some we are gonna
go check out the Eclipse so you know

got what should a good revenue target be

okay three months maybe like 20 to 70
bucks six months about $100 nine months
somewhere between say like 500 give or
take and then in a year you know

traffic and the amount of content that
you've put on I mean if you launch a
site and you put a ton of content out
there once they have a big budget and

site perhaps then you really can make a

it just depends on some things of course
I mean if you're if you're busting your
ass you're working on it full-time you
get a bunch of backlinks and a lot of
content well that's gonna make a big
difference so but my my answer stands as
far as you know how much to the three
six and nine month area

now and then I mean people I get through

really well focused and I'm satisfied
