niche site project I talk about Amazon

affiliate marketing internet marketing

in general and project management I was

a project manager in my previous

corporate job and I sort of bring

together some organization and project

management and ideas to internet

marketing that I think they're missing

so this video is a bit of a continuation

of the passive income video I talked

about four different kinds of passive

income that you could take a look at the

fourth one that I mentioned was creating

your own products so I wanted to

emphasize the fact that there's a lot of

work upfront for creating a sort of

passive income particularly around

creating a product so whether you're

doing a physical product on Amazon FBA

for example or if you are creating say

an e-book or even a physical book that

you can sell over and over again which

is a great thing there's a lot of work

upfront there now I have personal

experience in a few different areas one

is a rant ebooks rotary ebook and I

self-published it and sold it myself

from my site it just Knight project and

it went well I sold it for I think

between 80 and you know one hundred and

twenty seven dollars during different

periods of time and it was great I also

wrote a 100-page book and had it

professionally edited I worked on a

cover and orchid none of that stuff was

very easy in fact that process was one

of the hardest things that I've worked

on and another area that I have

experience in with passive you know

so-called passive income is creating a

course and I know a lot of different

courses out there teach you how to

create a course which is a little funny

but I will say that they are helpful

actually took one and it was

instrumental in me creating my course

five figure niche site and the thing I

want to emphasize around the passive in

idea around courses is that it's not

actually that passive and it depends on

how you create the course and the sort

of customer service that you offer but I

could tell you that my course is not

very passive I spend hundreds of hours

over the course of a quarter working

with you know my students in five figure

niche site and it's a lot of work

there's also a lot of work around

marketing the course and you know

working on a launch all that stuff takes

a tremendous amount of work it's not

really passive at all now there are

Sprint's of work and the more I'll say

launch the course and work with more

students the better I get at it so

certain pieces can get easier or take

less time like the launch but working

with students and teaching people how to

do things is unique every time so

there's you know for example a teaching

like a a college course or let's say

your middle school teacher high school

teacher whatever there's nothing really

passive about teaching the class you

have to you know show up you have to

teach people each individual that you're

working with each individual student may

require some special help

so are there certain areas of an online

course that are passive sure I don't

have to recreate the course over and

over again but there is a lot of work

around creating launching and

maintaining a course especially a a

premium high quality course like the

women that I have right it's not one

that people casually get into it's a

serious investment in both time and with

money so I have to provide really high

quality service so that said I can tell

you my course in many other courses like

it courses of the caliber that I'm

talking about they're not passive income

at all could you set up a passive income

source using a course sure you

definitely can but you would have to set

up certain things in a certain way

you're right you'd have to set up your

systems you'd have to hire customer

service people and set up other things

to take care of the level of commitment

that you would have and it's totally up

to you you know for me I enjoy teaching

I think it's really important for me to

spend time with the students it's okay

but it's not passive income for me I

have other sources of income to provide

passive income like Amazon affiliate

niche sites so I'll get off my soapbox

that was a bit of a rant but that's just

my take on online courses if you agree
