hello it is Doug Cunnington here from
the chai project welcome to the hang out
this afternoon thursday we're just
getting started here this is just a
general QA you know just to hang out and
if you have any questions or anything
you can go to the Q&A function within
the hangout or you can ask directly on
the event page I know if you're watching
on YouTube or elsewhere you're watching
on your iPhone perhaps you won't be able
to get to the question so I understand
that and it's no problem at all so we'll
just hang out here for a few minutes
while everyone is joining
alright it looks like i have a bunch of
junk running in the background which
I'll turn off right now we don't need
all this other stuff alright yeah and as
I mentioned Doug Cunnington here from
niche site project welcome to the AMA
hang out if you have any questions about
niche sites or productivity or keyword
research or anything like that you could
put it into the Q&A section and I'll
find it there or if you happen to be
watching on your iPhone or something
like that maybe you're at work that's
totally cool you could just put the
question on the event page and I will
find it there and let's see here I can
actually share my screen I think
alright and we're still just getting
started here and i can get over to this
page is where i actually want to be
welcome everyone if you do want to ask
over on the Q&A section in addition if
you're if you don't have a question or
you see one to you you like you could
actually plus one that particular
question and that one will go to the top
and if you're just joining in you can um
I guess let me know where you're from in
the Q&A section that'll be fine I think
there's a chat in here but i'm not sure
if anyone has the capability to get to
it but if you do go to the Q&A section
and then we have a couple people on now
you could just let me know where you're
from I'll be interested to hear and if
you have any questions feel free to ask
we'll go through some other material as
well as some people send questions in in
that sort of thing already so they won't
be able to attend but I'll answer for
them anyway alright get a couple viewers
on thanks for joining it is Doug
cuttington here hey I'm from niche site
project and we're just going to answer
you know a few questions today on niche
sites keyword research niche selection a
little bit on productivity too I've been
reading a few more books here lately on
productivity so I'll share a couple
things around that
and cool if you're just joining in you
can ask questions in the Q&A section
there should be you know the pretty
clear queue a little box and you can
click there and just ask whatever you
want if you see a question you'd like
you can vote it up and i'll be sure to
get to that one first thanks for coming
in everybody appreciate it and I'll um
I'll share my screen just so I can
display exactly where to get to the Q&A
section it's pretty straightforward but
I know some people haven't been on a
hangout before the location of that
little box may be in a different place
but if you see the QA icon you'll know
to click that and then you could just
ask you a question there right we'll
hang on just a couple couple more
minutes here to let a few other people
join looks like the audio is good for
today and like I said if you have any
questions and you're just joining in the
Q&A sections were to ask that if you're
not able to join the actual hang out in
maybe you're watching on your iPhone or
on youtube or something you can ask on
the event page and i'll actually refresh
that coming up soon actually one I'll do
right now while we're here okay so new
questions yet which is fine and we will
talk a little productivity stuff today
we didn't talk about that last week the
wool we'll talk a little about
productivity it wanted the I didn't even
go into it in the the presentation but i
recently read a book on sleep and
and you know basically there's a lot of
you know a lot of people that have tried
to figure out how to go with less sleep
or hack their sleeping habits to sleep
less per day Edison Thomas Edison was a
really famous person who you know one of
the drivers for creating the
incandescent light bulb was so people
could work longer and they weren't
reliant on sunlight and obviously he was
successful at that but it turns out
people do need a lot of sleep and even
edison he actually took he took naps
although maybe he didn't didn't admit it
widely but there was a nice anecdote in
there where Henry Ford came to visit
Edison's lab and one of his assistant
said that Edison was sleeping in his
office and Ford thought that was pretty
funny since Edison was famously a light
sleeper but the assistance that oh he
actually he doesn't sleep much at night
but he takes a lot of naps during the
day so um ironically i've been trying to
sleep a little bit more lately but
unfortunately I haven't slept as well
the last couple days so I'm working on
that okay we have a few minutes oh he's
have a question here from Travis thanks
and I see the the question on the Dvorak
keyboard yeah I am still using it I
switched over about a ye not quite a
year ago I guess it was like march or
april of last year and i was in a
particularly fast typer Travis before
maybe like 50 words a minute or so was
my baseline so pretty pretty slow I
never worked at it too hard but I
switched over and it my you know words
per min immediately went down to like 10
Ted words per minute super slow really
frustrating terribly frustrating and I
stuck with it though and I'm back up to
about 45 or 50 words a minute right now
with Dvorak and funny thing is I I've
had to fill out you know a couple like
applications or things like that just it
at stores or you know wherever I'm I
don't have some retail location and
they'll pass the keyboard over to me of
course it's a US standard keyboard
accordi and I have to look where i'm
typing there so so Travis just curious
or do you are you checking out the
Dvorak keyboard you could just you could
just put it in the any questions also i
don't i'm not sure if everyone will have
access to the chat area probably not
alright i saw a few other people join
thanks for hopping on we're just sort of
waiting for everyone to to join if you
if you have any questions you can you
can hop on like Travis go to the Q&A
section and you could just ask there I
of course displaying um exactly how to
do that yeah Travis you're right it's a
real pain in the ass it it was really
frustrating and I mean here I've been
doing it for about 10 months and I'm
still not quite I mean I stopped I
stopped like doing drills and practicing
so it's kind of my own fault I want to
actually get faster but it is I would it
is really hard so okay I think we could
kick it off and i'm going to not look at
the questions for a little bit but if
you do have questions as we go through
feel free to add them in the Q&A section
as I keep repeating over and over just
for anyone who joins and if you'd like a
question that you see there then you can
just + + 1 it and let me know that
you've gone or sorry and then just +1
and that'll let me know that you
actually like that question okay and I'm
gonna head
over and get started with a presentation
and I hope that everyone's can see the
screen here it is telling me google
hangouts is telling me that I'm sharing
this green so I believe them um today
we'll talk a little bit about niche
sites and keyword research and a little
bit of link building also and actually
not too much on link building but if you
have questions around it it's a very
popular topic for niche sites and just
you know web outreach in general that
sort of thing so if you have any
specific questions on link building feel
free to ask PBMs that's private blog
networks or web two point o's or
whatever so I've had a little experience
and everything everything around link
building all right so I mentioned it a
couple times but my name is Cunnington
i'm the founder of niche site project
that is my dog Brody and we we live in
Montana which is not too far from the
beartooth pass which is on the way to
Yellowstone National Park so that was
over the summer and it was really nice
up there and just to reiterate if you
have any questions go to the Q&A section
and i'll be sure to get to them there in
addition if you happen to be watching on
the event page perhaps you're on your
phone and you you can't join the hangout
that's cool I'll go back to the event
page and refresh it so you could just
add it as a comment there so why should
you care what I say why would you listen
to me so I have a past track record in a
few areas I've had pretty pretty good
amount of success with niche sites
primarily around amazon affiliate sites
i've sold one and had one do really well
before it was hit by some google
penalties unfortunately in addition i
have a book on the topic for niche sites
and a video course which I believe I'm
actually going to revamp both of those
coming up very soon right now they're
sort of their sort of dated and they
need some updating in addition I have
coached others for you know building
niche sites even expanding their current
niche sites improving their conversion
rates and scaling the process hiring a
team right now I'm really focused on
guest blogging I have a service around
guest blogging and I do a lot of gas
blogging myself both for my niche sites
and for niche site project just content
marketing in general last PMP so I am a
professor a project management
professional PMP so in my corporate job
before I was laid off last year I was a
prod project manager for a software
company primarily was around telecom and
enterprise level software and back to
the coaching so you know one of the most
recent success stories is Dave it was a
music teacher and it's nota there's a
thousand dollars in December 2015 just a
month ago it was actually 1200 he pulled
pulled out of December he's doing really
well this January also and I believe
he's actually on track for a thousand
this month which is great and you could
check out the full success story Dave
wrote a pretty awesome long post on
niche site project so you can check it
out there and we also did like a YouTube
interview so you could hear us you know
just kind of dive into the details and
really get into the weeds um I'm gonna
hop over to the other window and just
make sure everybody is good to go here
okay and it looks like it just a quick
reminder about the Q&A if you have
questions feel free to ask there I'll
come come back to them at the end and
make sure that I answer everyone's
question so
um expert level knowledge that sort of
you know one thing I bring to the table
I have been you know shoulder deep and
SEO here for a few years both and gray
hat area and now moving over to white
hat just because it yeah it's a little
it has a little more longevity I have a
lot of skill in the project management
area process improvement in niche sites
in general I've guest posted on Empire
flippers I've been a podcast guest on
side hustle nation and I have been a
podcast guest on niche pursuits as well
I have guest post the age refs and also
at Matthew Woodward co dot uk' in just
to break up the monotony of the
presentation here this is the Grand
Teton National Park Wyoming family
picture there so the family went there
over the summer it's a few hours away
Justin on the other side of Yellowstone
it's nice there and just a quick
reminder about the QA you get head over
there on the the QA icon and ask a
question if you have it and you could +1
any questions that you like okay and I
just want to you know go through a quick
spiel on a niche sites in case you're
new to niche site project or niche sites
in general so we'll just go over that
pretty quickly I still like niche sites
a lot been doing it for about almost
three years now and you know just it's
still you know I think one of the best
ways to get started online and I have a
lot of peers and colleagues that you
know they've been doing this for a while
and they still like niche sites to one
of the main benefits is pretty easy and
cheap to get started um you really just
have to pay for hosting upfront a domain
name and maybe a theme
but after that I mean you can write all
the content yourself you could actually
take take pictures yourself and really
handle all that but you don't have to
outsource it so that that's a really
nice way to get started if you haven't
you know done much online yet it's a
perfect way to hop in you learn a lot of
skills that you'll need in internet
marketing and digital marketing in
general whether it's around you know SEO
on-page and off-page setting up you know
themes and ensuring that it's a
responsive theme and that it you know
looks good on a phone or a tablet you'll
be able to set up domains and you know
learn how to basically work with a
registrar and set up the DNS and in that
sort of technical side of things which
even if you don't plan on doing much of
that once you're established its really
good to get those core skills down and
understand the mechanics of it so you
know perhaps later you could outsource
it when you don't want to work in the
weeds but you'll find that it's good to
you know get started and learn using
niche sites the other thing is a niche
site while it usually begins with a
pretty narrow focus and you know it's
niche down you could actually grow it
quite a bit so almost all sides even if
they grow to to be very large they start
out pretty focused and in that way
you're able to grow you know maybe into
an Amazon FBA type site where you you
know you could actually push a product
and have you know I guess be the person
fulfilling it on the other end you can
also you know move into a dropship type
situation where maybe you know you grow
that niche site into you know something
bigger and you actually have your own
product that you offer along side other
affiliate program
and really the sky is the limit i mean
if you brand it properly and this is
what i'm doing now if you brand your
niche site in a general way you can you
know focus in one you know vertical one
very small area of that niche and then
grow it out so you know if it's about
what's a good example maybe like dog
training or something like that you
could focus you know really really
specific you know training a German
Shepherd puppy for instance so focus on
that at first but you could grow it out
to you know all sorts of dog training
and then review dog food dog toys or
whatever so um you know you really have
a great platform to grow out of um quick
note I mean you do have to have a plan
and that's sort of you know my
background in project management I you
know I want to understand you know where
you're going and how you're going to do
it and a lot of times there's just so
much information especially with niche
sites and internet marketing there's so
much information out there where you you
know you pick up bits and pieces here
and if you try and follow several
different methods several different
plans it's pretty confusing and you may
end up shooting yourself in the foot and
not really make any progress that said
it's really important to have a plan the
process is really too long and it takes
a while these days it takes you know six
months or so to get a sight you know
ranking well and pulling in some revenue
you know when I first started it was
more like two or three months much
faster however you know still a lot of
work to be done back then and now it's
you know it's even more so it's really
it pays off to plan ahead because you'll
waste a lot of time if you don't have a
plan so you know even if you don't know
exactly what to do you should make
the effort to write out all the steps or
at least follow another person's guide
you know even if you know all the steps
in your head you actually get something
out of you know physically writing it
out just old-school get a piece of paper
and you know write it out and trust me
you'll have some revelation that maybe
you didn't think of before there's
something about you know getting it out
on paper so I actually have a guide that
you can look at so there's a video
course as well if you need to link let
me know but if you had to niche site
project com and I think it's / niche
site process it's also the start here
area but it takes you through the whole
process in about seven steps um it does
you know it's sort of high level so it's
all on one page but it does give you a
road map literally a process flow on
what you need to be doing throughout the
process of a niche site okay and we'll
move on to the questions I'm going to
click over and see what we have here
over on the Q&A section okay so we have
a few questions awesome cool so I'll hit
the ones that are you know for people
that are here right now so I'm gonna do
rut sheeds right now that's what we're
looking at so the question is are you
using any black hat link building
techniques to rank your websites the
answer is no right now not i am doing
outreach right now and guest posting so
previously i had a lot of involvement
with PB ends and I had you know pretty
big Network and basically you know one
of my sites was penalized actually
several of my sites were penalized over
time and at this point the overhead for
building a PB head while you know I like
the
I like the idea of controlling
everything in controlling the sites and
controlling the exact anchor text and uh
you know in your pbn the overheads
actually run a big network is a lot and
I see I see some of my friends that have
you know pretty big networks and it
looks like it takes a lot of time and
it's pretty expensive so at this point
I'm doing guest posting and just a quick
example this week I sent out about I
think about 150 emails and I have about
eight guest post that should be you know
that they were accepted so I'm going to
be able to take advantage of that now
the average da on those is roughly i
think it was about 20 or so so i sort of
lowered my my standards but I'm going
out there and I'm going to be able to
you know get the get the links to you
know new content that about it on my
site so thanks rajid i think i'm
pronouncing your name right but I
appreciate the question all right and
yeah if anyone else has questions feel
free to put them in the Q&A section and
plus one if you like the question and
okay so i am going to select this next
question so this is from a par wig
sheets I think apologize if i pronounced
your name wrong so here's the question
what are the best white hat link
building strategies apart from guest
blogging so I don't do much else aside
from guest blogging but I'll you know
I'll do my best to answer anyway it's
very um it's time consuming to do these
other methods from my observation but I
think if you if you have the time and
you have a site that is really that has
really good content these can be
effective so one is going to find
resource pages on you know bigger
websites
and if you have a site in the niche and
you actually have a good resource you
can you know request to be added to that
page and a key thing there is to
actually have a really good resource and
you also have to do some relationship
building with whoever you're working
with on that site the problems with it
of course is there's not well depending
on the industry there may not be a lot
of opportunities to get on a resource
page so that's a little bit tough and
then occasionally right you may end up
working with it you know someone who
doesn't have access to the website
directly so if you hit up an
organization you may have to you know
work your way to the right person and
get various approvals so that sort of
slows things down a little bit and you
know what I can do I could actually just
get on camera here um the other white
hat strategies that are probably you
know effective stuff that you should
look at broken link building so that's
another one that I think if you put in
the time and you actually have you know
a fairly big industry in a reasonable
budget you could take the time to go
find the broken links reach out to the
right people um to you know get your
link out of there the really good part
about broken links is the Internet's
broken and there's broken links
everywhere if you go and look for broken
links you'll find them so just websites
change URLs change websites go away so
broken links happen and it's just a
natural thing and people don't want them
they don't want them on their site so if
you could you know again provide a good
resource you could probably you know get
a link um where you found a broken with
so those are the two others aside from
guest blogging but in my opinion your
guest blogging and guest posting those
are a little bit easier you had a higher
conversion rates and
you know I I have found a nice you know
method to go about it so alright thanks
for the question a parka sheet and okay
i see josh has a question here thanks
Josh do you use any link building
services to rank your websites whether
it's white or black hat if yes do you
have them reviewed on your website i
don't use any services right now um in
the past they use the hoth a little bit
but I've sort of moved away from those
like web 2.0 sites they weren't as
effective as I thought they were in the
past and then well the Hoth is really
popular and I know a lot of people that
use them so they're potentially could be
a footprint out there for that I feel
like since it's something that could be
you know you could you know if if there
was an issue with the Hoth um I I think
it would probably let you know it's a
really good company I've had a you know
a good relationship with them over time
just not for me right now and then Josh
I think you I'm pretty sure you and I
have talked before you have a site and I
can't remember I can't remember what it
is but if you want to shoot me a message
we can talk about it I do have some
stuff reviewed on my site and i'd be
willing to talk with you Josh so just
send me an email outside of this and we
could figure something out that works
for us alright yeah I'm not used to
talking this much so pardon the water
okay up next I see and thanks for the
question Josh appreciate it all right
now we are on to this great days a
question here so how much does the
structure of a niche site impact link
building I've been seeing interesting
post on silo architecture
um ok so I don't have a I don't have a
tremendous amount of data I don't have a
case study to cite here or anything
dealing with you know a silo structure
and then not a silo structure so this is
like an N of 1 so my my information is
pretty much anecdotal so I don't think
that the the structure of the niche site
has a huge impact now there was a period
and I think even in my niche site
project book I you know basically go
through setting up a silo and to be
pretty specific about setting up a page
and parent and children and it's a
pretty nice way to organize things and I
you know if you have I have a site where
it's set up like that in addition I
actually have blog content also for
things that are you know I guess less
permanent and more blog like but it's
kind of arbitrary to be honest with you
so the key thing though is and I have a
post on the silo architecture and I
think Charles float just publish
something recently um around silo
architecture he's very smart so I'm you
know I'm sure you should take a look at
that also to get an understanding about
silos but in my opinion in my end of one
here my opinion is if you have you know
pages or post it doesn't matter but it's
more important about how your sites
linked together so you know right now
I'm publishing a lot of blog posts
rather than pages and I am just ensuring
that there's a you know interlinking on
those pages to other pages and then
other pages are linking back to that in
a smart way so it's pretty much you know
the same idea as a you know setting up a
pretty tight silo it's just I'm putting
it in a little bit easier to form you
know silo so I'm putting it in basically
blog posts
and I'm linking it in a smart way so at
the end of the day I think one issue
with setting up a silo and you're using
you know pages and parent children
relationship throughout if you end up
with a pretty deep silo with a lot of
content your URLs end up being really
long it really you know less intuitive
than they should be so if you set up a
silo I think it's probably a good rule
of thumb to keep the structure sort of
small so i wouldn't go more than you
know two layers deep three max and again
kind of arbitrary and it's mainly my
opinion so that's a really good question
though I I don't think if you you know
convert a site from you know mostly blog
post over to like pages in a silo I
don't think your site's going to all of
a sudden move I think it'd probably be
the same result if you just did a lot of
interlinking on those pages or post okay
hope I answered your question well and
what did i'll go back one of the first
questions that i answered was from
travis and that was am i still using the
Dvorak keyboard I am and I type up
almost as fast as I used to and I can
barely type on a u.s. Cordy keyboard
anymore that's pretty funny to watch
alright thanks again Travis and then
okay Parker sheet has a another question
here and we'll take a look at that the
question is I have built niche sites
promoting a fellow you products from
clickbank and monetizing with ads this
year on one to try amazon affiliate
sites but not sure on how to structure
the site for this what content should
these amazon sites include okay and
perhaps that question should have been
or i should have answered that one
before the other but it doesn't matter
too much so for an Amazon site primarily
you know your money
ty particles are going to be reviews or
comparisons on specific products you
know one thing you need to watch out for
is the terms of service for the Amazon
affiliate program so you can't list the
price specifically unless you're you
know pulling from an API so avoid that
you are sort of limited on what you can
say about the price so you can't say
this is the lowest price because you
actually don't know that and I believe
there are some rules around citing the
reviews in your articles so those are
the user reviews on Amazon you can't
lift those you also can't mention the
number of reviews and you can't mention
the rating so the star rating so you
have to be really careful about that in
addition on the amazon sites you know
these days it's smarter to you know
build more of a brand type website and
actually have more content so if you
have a site with only reviews um that's
not a good thing you should try and put
other content out on that site um so you
know going back to the the dog and
training example you should also have
just like fun interesting content that
may get some social shares and that sort
of thing just to help fill out your site
in addition is probably not a bad idea
to you know look for long tail keywords
that people aren't targeting because
they aren't really monetizable and in
that way these are like informational
type keywords so it would be how to do
some activity with your dog whatever it
is I teach it to you know catch a
frisbee or something so it could be
stuff that you know people aren't
targeting because there's not a product
directly related to it so you may be
able to rank for that and get a lot of
traffic because of it and then you can
sort of move
you know link to other pages on your
site that actually have affiliate links
on them so if you're smart about it you
could actually add like nice content
stuff is entering interesting for users
and readers and that you may actually be
able to rank for you know pretty highly
trafficked highly search for keyword and
get traffic to your site which is a good
thing and then have them you know move
over to your money money articles so
alright I hope that answered the
question para Rick sheet and good good
questions um one thing that I would
maybe look at if you're already doing if
you already have sites that exist where
you're pushing a clickbank product or
your monetizing with ads i would
actually look to see how you could
expand those verses starting a new site
everyone's situation is different so you
know perhaps you want to spread your
risk and start a new site i understand
that but you know if your sites has some
longevity meaning if you have white hat
links in that sort of thing then i would
probably look to expand a current site
versus starting a new one that's just me
I sort of you know i'm looking at
focusing on fewer things and taking care
of things that way and all right if you
have a you know i see we have a few
people and if you have other questions
feel free to ask i'm gonna head back
over to the presentation and share it's
here so just a couple other questions
and things i could cover here okay so
how to brainstorm for keyword ideas it's
always really on you know a bit of a
struggle when you're first getting
started to figure out what niche in what
keywords to go after and you know
there's 101 there's really an endless
number of ways to figure that out and
there's no right way to do it
you can actually you know figure out a
market where you know people are
purchasing you know it's competitive as
far as you know people are spending
money in those industries and then work
backwards from there or you can start
you know specifically with keywords
right now we'll just take a quick you
know dive until like brainstorming for
keywords and even if you already have a
site that's inexistent or in existence
you can still you know spend time
looking for new keywords and figuring
out new content to write or even look
for long tails to add to your existing
content just to update it and for
potentially bring in more traffic so
just a baseline you know if you don't
have a site yet and you're not sure what
you're gonna do um one thing to look at
is hobby so you can take a look at
things that you like to do where things
you're interested in maybe even it's
it's something that you don't do yet but
you're interested in so maybe you know
bowling isn't something you you would
like to do but you haven't had time to
you know go down to the alley so that's
you know that MIT sorry so maybe that's
a little something easier to you know
think about but you know step outside
like the things that you're obsessed
with and look at your family so a lot of
times you can figure out some hobbies
that you know maybe your your family's
in to think of your you know your
parents or your siblings and you know
nieces nephews whatever you can really
sort of you know get outside your own
comfort zone and figure out what other
people like to do a lot of times you
know kind of like planning things out um
you know write this stuff down you may
not think of it why you're brainstorming
but it gets your you know your mind
working on that problem for you and the
ideas that you come up with it may not
be directly related to the hobby maybe
it's a couple steps away but you end up
thinking broadly and beyond you know the
normal stuff that you're thinking about
um so you know what people
obviously need to be searching for the
topic so it really comes down to two
keywords and you know the fact is if no
one's searching for it then it doesn't
really it doesn't really matter so there
you know there's some threshold that you
have to look at and you also have to
figure out you know what are the correct
key words so from my perspective you do
have to look at the buyers intent and
that's primarily uh you know for the
money type keywords so um you know back
to the point before about Amazon sites
there's some content that does need to
be directed in pretty much all about
products and comparing products and
talking about products so that you can
you have a legitimate way to you know
help someone and to mention the product
so reviews of the best way and a lot of
times you know that is around a specific
product that someone wants more
information about and it's sort of like
a pre-purchase type query the other part
you have to think about is the volume so
this does go back to you know the main
idea that people have to be looking for
it previously and this is what cited in
the book which I need to update that's
the niche site project book previously I
was looking for you know a primary
keyword with more than 1,500 exact match
searches per month however through
building some sites in having a you know
a little bit better understanding about
conversion rates and pricing of products
you could actually go down as low as you
know 500 plus as long as the particular
product has roughly an average price
range or in a hundred dollars you'll
still end up with a you know fairly
profitable site and in fact I had one
making you know 452 roughly six hundred
dollars a month based on a product that
was around
dollars and had 720 exact match searches
per month so just keep that in mind and
a good way to understand buyers intent
is you know looking at some keywords
like best and then the product name or
the product name and that's you know
noted as keywords but you could also
have the product or product sort of
category in reviews or you know reviews
for particular their product and as you
look through actually a good way to
manufacture you know some sorry
manufacture some keywords and find out
what other people are targeting is you
know take a look at your competition so
you can you know figure out some
keywords to go after and then see who is
ranking in the top 10 look for a niche
side of course and then you'll be able
to sort of see what their articles are
and usually the keywords that they're
targeting are in the title they're
mentioned in the headings of their
website and you can you know pretty
easily see what they're targeting quick
note for adsense based sites or you know
any sort of ad revenue sites the intent
is less important but the CPC that's the
cost per click in Google AdWords that is
important to take so take note on that
you know even then it may not matter a
ton because of you know retargeting that
advertisers may be doing so you know if
your site's about dog training and add
may actually show up for you know DUI
lawyer or something like that if that
person happened to have been searching
for that and had a cookie associated
with that sort of retargeting if you
have questions about that this sort of a
more advanced topic but if you have
questions just let me know okay so back
to the keyword select
so primary keywords you know looking for
over 720 generally secondary keywords so
these are the ones that have just sort
of generally less than the primary
keyword but at this point i am going
after long tails even if they have like
zero search volume if I know people are
searching for them I'll still create a
piece of content around those it turns
out these long tails with very low
search volume people aren't targeting
them it's way less competitive so you
can rank for those keywords pretty
quickly okay and we're going to get to
the productivity hacks here in a second
and to do list they suck and let me go
back to the the page I'm going to see if
there's some other questions here okay
and I do see a couple so I'm going to
take care of you guys now and come back
to the productivity hacks later so let
me jump back here all right so Park
sheet / worksheet sorry again if I'm
mispronouncing your name I'm trying
alright the question is how easy or
difficult is it to outrank social media
pages ranking on the first page um I'm
not sure I haven't tried to do that
specifically however I would say take a
look at the backlink profile for that
particular page and I believe it would
probably still hold true that you know a
PA on that page of you know under 20 or
so is going to be pretty you know easy
to outrank so I think if you basically
get more links than them get better
links than them with high authority
sites then you should be able to outrank
a so social media page ranking
first page so that's my take again
that's kind of that's my opinion in what
I would assume would work there but I
haven't tried to do that myself so right
and if you have a follow-up Parakh sheet
let me know and we have mr. Hoffman Josh
